Riane Haine's POV (D5)
I hear Caesar announcing the end of the break. I walk out on stage and see hundreds of people watching me. My breaths quicken and I see Daniel. He smiles at me and I calm down. Caesar asks me, " Riane, how do you feel having your big sister in the Games with you?" " Well, she's been training with her weapon, and she is pretty good. I'm glad she has the ability to protect me." Caesar smiles and nods. " How do you think she felt, having to be a tribute?" "She was probably mad." "How do you think your parents are taking this?" "Hard. They really love us. They're probably freaking out." "Thank you, Riane. Next, Lianne Haine!"
Lianne Haine's POV (D5)
I walk onstage. Caesar is more made up than he looks on TV. "Welcome, Lianne. So, how did you feel when you had to be a tribute because your sister was reaped?" "I was mad. I didn't think it was fair." Caesar nods. "Are you going to protect your younger sister in the arena?" I nod."Yes. We love each other." "While you're in the arena, who will you miss most?" I blush and say, "My boyfriend, Jay. He means the world to me." Caesar laughs. "Well, then try hard to get back to him!" I nod. "Thank you, Lianne. Next up, Daniel Breyer!" I stride off stage.
Daniel Breyer's POV (D5)
During Riane's interview, I noticed she was nervous. She looked at me and I smiled. She calmed down. After her and her sister's interview, it was my turn. I sat down and Caesar asked, "How do you feel about having your younger sister, Cassidy, in the Games?" "I'm kind of afraid for her, but she's mature for thirteen, and she's smart. She can hold her own pretty well." Caesar smiles and says, "How do you think she feels?" "She's probably a little scared." "How are your parents reacting?" "They're probably scared." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Daniel. Cassidy Breyer!" I walk off stage and see Riane smiling at me. Oh, that dazzling smile.
Cassidy Breyer's POV (D5)
I walk on stage and sit down. I notice I'm slouching and sit up straight. Mom always said to have good posture. Caesar asks me, "How do you feel, being a tribute?" "I was scared at first, but hearing what Daniel said, I realized he was right. I can hold my own." Caesar smiles. The crowd echoes an Aww and I smile. "How do you think Daniel feels with him being a tribute?" "He is probably kinda scared." Caesar nods and asks, "Now, your brother said you were mature for thirteen. In what ways are you mature?" "Well, I've been able to take hard things well, and some people say I look like a sixteen year old." Caesar nods and says, "Thank you, Cassidy. Now, Viola Grayson!" I walk off stage and see Daniel and Riane talking.
Viola Grayson's POV (D6)
I walk on stage and see Caesar laughing. "Welcome, Viola. How did you feel when your father had to be a tribute as well as you?" "I was mad. I wanted him to be at home, safe." Caesar nods. "How is your mother handling this?" "I don't have a mother. She passed away having me sixteen years ago." Caesar nods solemnly. "I'm sorry." "It's okay. You wouldn't have known." "If there could only be one Victor, and you and your father were the last two, what would you do?" "Sacrifice myself. He's young. He can have more kids, but I will never have another father." "Thank you, Viola. Now, Trevor Grayson!" I walk off stage.
Trevor Grayson's POV (D6)
I had my interview with Caesar. I sat down and answered truthfully. "So, Mr. Grayson. How did you feel when you had to be a tribute because your daughter was reaped?" "I was scared for Viola. She's been without a mother her whole life. She won't be able to handle it if she lost me too." Caesar nods. "Pardon me for asking this, but how did you handle your wife's passing all those years ago?" "It was hard. She was the love of my life. She was just plain beautiful. And Viola looks more like her every day." Caesar nods. "If there could only be one Victor, and you and Viola were the last two, what would you do?" "I don't know. I couldn't bring myself to kill her. She is the only thing I have left of my wife." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Mr. Grayson. Braden Vydes!" I walk off stage and see Viola.
Braden Vydes' POV (D6)
I walk onstage, ready for my interview. Caesar asks, "Braden. A boy by the name James Creeds came with you. Is he your cousin?" I shake my head. "We're not related. My parents died when I was young, and James is my best friend. His family adopted me." Caesar smiles. "If his family hadn't taken you in, where do you think you'd be today?" I think. "Probably in the orphanage." Caesar nods. "How do you think James' parents reacted to your being reaped?" "They were probably scared for us. They've treated me like their own son. They've been so kind to me." I smile, and Caesar smiles. "Thanks, Braden. James Creeds!" I pass James. I sit down and the smile disappears from my face.
James Creeds' POV (D6)
I pass Braden, and I notice he's unhappy. I'll talk to him afterwards. "Welcome, James. Tell me, how did you feel when your best friend was reaped?" "I was kinda freaking out. Who wouldn't, if they thought they'd never see their best friend again." Caesar nods. "Do you remember how your family got the idea of adopting Braden?" I nod. "He was my best friend. He came up to me one day and said his parents had died. He said he'd have to go to the orphanage. I didn't want him to, because the orphanage kids don't go to the normal school. I asked my family if we could adopt him, and they said yes." Caesar smiles. "What would you have done if your parents hadn't adopted Braden?" "I would have been sad, because that means I wouldn't be able to see him as often." "Thanks, James. Meryl Wendell!" I find Braden. He is in a corner alone. "Hey. What's wrong?" "Caesar hit close to home." I know he's talking about his parents and the orphanage. He hates the orphanage. A tear falls from Braden's face. I hug him. "We'll be okay, Braden. Don't get emotional." Braden smiles and slugs me in the arm.
Meryl Wendell's POV (D7)
I walk out and Cheryse gives me an encouraging smile. "Good evening, Meryl. How did you react to being reaped?" "I was freaking out. But then Cheryse is a tribute too, so she can protect me." Caesar nods. "How do you think she felt?" "Worried. She loves me and my sister to death." Caesar nods. "How do you think she would have felt if your other sister had been reaped?" "Well, I'm the only one eligible. Cheryse is too old, and Emma is too young." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Meryl. Cheryse Wendell!" I return Cheryse's smile.
Cheryse Wendell's POV (D7)
Meryl returns the smile I gave her. Caesar welcomes me. "Good evening, Cheryse. "Are you glad you can protect your younger sister?" "Yes." "How did you react to her being reaped?" "I was scared. She doesn't deserve this." "How do you think your sister is?" "We have a rule in our house. No watching the Hunger Games until you're at least ten. She's eight." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Cheryse. Samuel Nyv!" I walk out and Meryl has a smile on her face.
Samuel Nyv's POV (D7)
I walk out and Caesar asks, "How do you feel having your sister in the Games with you?" "I'm happy she's here. She is really good with weapons, and she can protect herself and me." Caesar nods and smiles. "How did you feel when you got reaped?" "I was scared." "Any other family back home?" "Just my parents, and Anisa." Caesar nods. "What will you do if you win this?" "Get a house for my family." "Thanks, Samuel. Anisa Nyv!"
Anisa Nyv's POV (D7)
I walk onstage. Caesar asks, "Anisa. Tell me, how did you feel when your younger brother was reaped?" "I was scared. I wanted to volunteer for him." Caesar nods. "Do you have anyone special at home?" I blush, thinking of Shawn. "I'd prefer not to talk about him here." Caesar nods. "Oh well. So, how did you feel when you heard you were a tribute as well?" "Okay. I was grateful because now I can protect him in the arena." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Anisa. Jess Moraine!" I walk off stage, still blushing like crazy.
Jess Moraine's POV (D8)
Alex pushes me over into the stage. I walk to Caesar and he asks, "How did you react to being reaped?" "I was scared." "How did you feel when your brother was a tribute as well?" "I was afraid. We adore each other." "How are your parents reacting?" We have no parents. "Uh, I'd rather not discuss that right now." Caesar nods. "All right. Thanks, Jess. Alex Moraine!"
Alex Moraine's POV (D8)
I am prepared for my interview with Caesar. "So, Alex. How did you react to your sister being reaped?" "I was worried. My family doesn't exactly use money to sponsor." Caesar nods. "How did you handle the fact that you were a tribute as well?" "At least I can protect Jess now. Like she said, we adore each other." "Were you, perhaps, angry that even though some tributes are out of the usual 12-18 age range, they still havento have to participate in the Games?" "A bit." "Thanks, Alex. Kevin Gonzales!"
Kevin Gonzales' POV (D8)
I was fuming. Kimberly had been careless and dropped her mascara brush on my face and I had faint black streaks over my face. Caesar calls my name. "Hello, Kevin. I understand you had a mishap today?" I turn pink. "Yes, but it was my sister's carelessness." I whisper, "Does that count as one of the three questions?" Caesar gasps. "It does!" "How do you feel about being a tribute?" "I was mad." "How did you feel having your big sister in the Games?" "She can be annoying most of the time." Caesar nods. "Thank you, Kevin. Kimberly Gonzalez!" I purposely bump Kimberly as she walks out.
Kimberly Gonzalez' POV (D8)
Kevin bumps me on his way off stage. "Kimberly. How do you feel about being a tribute?" "The Hunger Games are stupid and idiotical." "How did you react to your brother being reaped?" "I was a little bit worried." Caesar nods. "Has the Capitol impressed you so far?" I nod. "Everything is amazing." Caesar nods. "That concludes the second segment of our interviews. See you later!" We walk off stage in opposite directions.
