Alice Firro's POV
I am in the middle of a wonderful dream. Then Duncan, my older brother, wakes me up. "Time to get ready for the Reaping, Alice." "I was in the middle of a dream." I get up and pull on a blue shirt. Duncan wakes up Mom and Dad, and I make oatmeal for breakfast. I plop the oatmeal into 4 bowls, and Mom, Dad, and Duncan eat the mushy oatmeal.
At the square, we all wait in fear, wondering if we'll be called or not. A woman with blonde hair introduces herself. "Hello, I am Charlotte Xavier. For this Hunger Games, the reaped tributes will have one of their family members in the arena as well. Our female tribute is..." She pulled a paper. "Alice Firro!" I look at Duncan. His eyes dart between me and the escort. It's like he's saying, "What? You can't be serious." I walk on stage. I see Chloe, my best friend, in the crowd. She wants to volunteer for me, but we have an agreement. If one of us is reaped, the other can't volunteer. She can only sponsor. We decided not to get each other killed because of the Reaping. Charlotte calls the male tribute. "Lucas Serrasal!" I recognize Lucas. He's been in my class at school, once. "Duncan Firro and Justin Serrasal!" We walk into the Justice Building.
Lucas Serrasal's POV
My mom walks into the room Justin, my twin brother, and I share. "Good morning, Lucas!" I smile. "Get ready for the Reaping. You have 20 minutes to eat, get ready, and run to the square." I pull on a shirt that isn't stained and throw an identical one at Justin. "Get up, you lazybones." He rolls out of bed and falls on the floor. "Mmffgh!" His voice is muffled by the pillow he fell on. I laugh and he throws the pillow at me. He gets dressed, and I eat my breakfast. 20 minutes later, we're at the square. The escort, for once, doesn't have her entire body weight in makeup. "Hello, I am Charlotte Xavier. For this Hunger Games, the reaped tributes will have one of their family members in the arena as well. Our female tribute is..." She called up Alice Firro. She calls the male tribute. "Lucas Serrasal!" Me!? Why me? Justin nudges me towards the stairs. Charlotte calls, "Duncan Firro and Justin Serrasal!" Justin? I link hands with Justin and we walk into the Justice Building.
Wow...there are 4 sets of twins! Lucas and Justin, Lucia and Lauren, Reed and Lily, and Mia and Thea. Almost done! District 12 then the training and stuff! XD Enjoy! Today I'm doing lots of chapters. I have a few hours of free time. ~Amanda
