S E N I O R Y E A R
My breathing was steady the entire car ride to Durant High. Pulling forward into my assigned parking space, I shut my car off and got out. From here, I could see other teens outside talking to each other before actually going inside to head to their classes. Normally it was for them but me, not. You can consider me a loner.
Well, excluding Demi Rivera. A transfer student who came all the way from Oklahoma. She had the courage and was fearless. She was also a good friend of mine.
Walking straight inside, my locker was the first stop. It didn't take me long at all to get my books and materials.
"Good morning, Gen!" Demi greets me happily, stopping beside me.
"It must be, Demi. How are you?" I smiled.
"I feel great. Last night, I had the most amazing night."
"Meaning?"
She leaned against the rows of lockers, closing her eyes. A dazed look formed over her face. "Ronan."
I gasped. "You slept with him?"
Demi was a sexual person and was very comfortable with her body. She was a confident person and that's a reason why I'm friends with her. I admire her confidence and I wished it would rub off on me. The knowledge of her wild stories made me curious about sex. I knew very little about it. What would it feel like? The experience of pleasure I always hear about. Thanks to Demi, my questions are always answered.
Well, very few. I was far from knowledgable.
"Yes," she sighs in contentment. "They weren't lying. The guy knows what he's doing."
"How did you manage to get with him?"
It was shocking. Ronan Lebedev, one of the school's star football players with a relaxed vibe. Though it doesn't compare with the way he dresses. All black, leather, and hard-toed boots. He was the complete image of a bad boy biker but I heard and even witnessed that he was a genuine guy. Can't say much about his egotistical group of friends.
"We had to work on an assignment together and I was cool with going to my house or his. We went to mine and we got some work done. But the attraction was strong and you know me, Gen. I couldn't help myself. Is that bad?" Her cheeks flushed red.
The bell goes off, indicating that it was time for class. I touched Demi's shoulder, giving her a supporting smile. "I don't think so," I shrugged. "You like who you like."
