Get through Senior year. That's all I needed to do then I would finally be able to get out of Oklahoma.
Head down and keep quiet. That's all I had to do and I would survive. That was my strategy.
Until I caught the attention of the wrong person.

Me: I don't know.
My fingers moved across the screen in response to Blaze. He was talking about a get together at his uncle's private home since I turned down having a party. I wasn't in the mood to really party and be around annoying people that would do nothing but talk my ear off.
Besides, I didn't need to be surrounded by temptation.
The alcohol, cigarettes, and weed were something I had been used to for a while now and I was trying to slow down. Not just for Red but for myself.
Ever since being involved with Red, I've been trying to figure myself out while bettering what I do.
Girls were no longer in my future. Well, if you count my sexy girlfriend and my annoying sister, those are the only important females in my life.
My mother was a hard case.
I stopped caring a while ago and to be honest, I don't think that will ever change.
Blaze: It's a group thing. Your girlfriend can go if that's the reason you aren't trying to go.
I sighed. I don't want her around people that she didn't know. Also, I didn't want her around Blaze's crazy ass friends from uptown.
Me: She might not even want to go.
I've been keeping my eyes on Red and her personal life. So far, I could tell she does not have a good relationship with her father. Something I could relate to.
Blaze: Will she go if knows that Jules is going?
My brows furrowed together. There he goes again, mentioning my sister's name. Yes, Jules told me that she and Blaze were just friends and talk to him when it only concerns me but I couldn't help but feel otherwise.
Both of them always mention each other. Whether it is random or not. I was starting to get suspicious of the entire thing.
But I remind myself that Jules has told me that some other freakish boy has caught her attention. Though I don't know who it is, I didn't like it.
And I could only protect my sister for so long.
Me: I'm not allowing my sister to go. She doesn't need to be around your crazy ass friends.
The bubbles appear and then disappear as if he was thinking about what to type next. Then the message appears.
Blaze: Yeah, about that. She already agreed to go. *nervous face and smiling face emoji*
An annoyed breath slips past my lips. My annoying, naive sister. I knew if I told her the opposite, she would fight with me and truthfully, I was not up for it. Secretly know I have a higher chance of losing that battle.
Me: Fine. I'll see if my girl wants to go. When is it?
