"I still don't agree with her going," I murmur to my Adrian, fixing my black tie that went nicely with my red tuxedo jacket and velvet pants.

"You know our sister, Mercer," He tugs at the black jacket of his tuxedo. "Once her mind is made, there's no changing it."

An irritated breath blows past my lips. "Jules!" I call out, looking at the time on my phone.

Prom started exactly in less than an hour and I didn't want to be late meeting Red at the entrance. At first, I preferred to pick her up but she told me she didn't want to risk not going. Apparently, both her parents are just awful.

During a long conversation with Red, she told me exactly how her conversation with her mother went and it was clear that neither one of her parents want her to be happy. That didn't sit right though I had a similar situation. Well, our parents just want for themselves and have a selfish way of doing it.

"You don't have any patience," Jules huffs in annoyance while fluffing her hair. The sound of her heels clicking against the hard floors grabs Adrian and I's attention and my jaw almost drop at what Jules chose for a prom dress.

It only made me fear what kind of dress my Red had chosen for the prom.

"Too much exposure," Adrian says, shaking his head in disapproval and I nod my head in agreement.

The dress she wore was exposed to much of her skin and through her hair was down, it didn't make it any better. Jules was trying to have Adrian and I beat up someone.

"No, it's not." Jules rolls her eyes, walking over to Adrian and taking her purse from him. "And shouldn't you be with your date? What was her name again? Brittney? Brit?"

Ignoring my sister's tone, filled with disappointment, my brows furrowed together at a loss. "I thought you were taking Skylar?"

"We're not together in that sense. We're just friends." Adrian says, an agitated look crossing his face as if he knew the same argument from Jules was about to come up.

"You and Brittney aren't together." Jules points out, fueling Adrian's agitation.

"Leave it, Jules." He dismisses, turns on his heels, and walks out the door.
