Daniela POV
today was my first day of kindergarten and I couldn't be any more excited. My mom got a job in Puerto Rico so we moved here from Orlando. My mom was almost finished doing my hair she was just putting in the red bows, which were my favorite.
"Mommy are you finished"
I jumped in my seat from all the excitement I felt but I could tell my mom was getting a bit annoyed.
"Be still Daniela I'm almost done"
"Are you done now"
I was getting impatient all I wanted to do was get to my new school.
"There we go I'm all done now"
"Yay"
I jumped up from my seat and grabbed my backpack, I ran to the door to wait for my mom.
"Come on mommy let's go"
"I'm going, let me just check that you finished your breakfast"
"I did"
"Okay just making sure now let's go"
she grabbed her keys and walked to the car with me
At school
"We're here"
I was so excited that I was practically jumping out of my seat
"Come on"
My mom got me out my seat and held my hand as we walked together to the gates
"Hi there what's your name"
"I'm Daniela"
"Hey Daniela, come on in"
"Bye mommy"
I ran inside as I was ready to play with all the other kids already
"Daniela"
I hear my mom yell out for me making me turn around as I saw her wave me over. I sighed and ran over to her again
"Have a nice day okay and wait for me after school" she hugged me
"Okay mommy bye now" I let go and ran back in
I went to the play ground and saw a lot of other kids. some invited me to play with them but A boy that was sitting on his own caught my attention so I decided to sit with him.
"Hi what's your name"
"No te entiendo"
"Como te llamas"
"Benito Martínez"
He seemed shy but that was okay I still wanted to be his friend
"Hola Benito Martinez soy Daniela"
"Hola"
"Porque estas aqui tan solito"
"Es que no tengo amigos"
"oh pues podemos hacer amigos? "
"En serio?"
"Si! Y podemos jugar juntos cuando quieras también si quieres le puedes preguntar a tu mami si te deja dormir en mi casa hoy"
"Si! Me encanta el idea"
After school
"En donde están tus papis"
"Bueno nomas somos yo y mi mami, esta acá ven"
I grabbed his hand and ran over to my mom who was talking with another couple
"Mommy"
"Hey baby"
"Mami, Papi!"
" Benito!"
The couple my mom was talking to bent down and hugged Benito. He looked a lot like the lady
"Oh who's this"
"This is my new friend, Benito can he come over"
"I don't know ask his parents"
"Hola yo soy Daniela, la amiga de Benito"
"Hola Daniela"
"Benito se puede quedar a dormir a mi casa"
"mmm está bien porque no, es un viernes"
"Gracias mami adios Papi los veo mañana"
