"Daniela, Benito?"
We jumped back so quick before anyone can see. I turned to look at the door and it was Bysael
"Bysa!" I walked over and hugged him
"You've grown so much"
"I didn't think I would see you again"
"Me neither but here we are" I laughed
"So how you've been"
"Well good still single tho" he wiggled his eyebrows at me making me laugh
He's always had a crush on me but I found it cute.
"Ni lo pienses cabron" Benito said
"Oh leave him alone" I laughed
"Mami said the foods ready and to come down"
"Okay we're going", "You wanna come down, Dani?"
"Yeah let's go", "Come on Bysa"
Once we were downstairs I went where the food was and I served my plate and sat down next to Gabriela, soon enough Benito came and sat next to me
" Dani como te ha tratado la vida?" Benito's mom asked
"Bueno al principio era un poco duro pero últimamente la vida a sido maravillosa, gracias a dios"
"Ay que bueno y qué haces para trabajo?"
"Trabajo para la revista LATINA, soy periodista"
"Que bueno! Me acuerdo que habías dicho que querías hacer eso. También me acuerdo que Benito me dijo que te iba ayudar a cumplir ese sueño. Sabes yo estaba muy triste cuando se dejaron, estaban tan enamorados"
I stayed quiet not really sure on what to say, I never really told her the real reason why I broke up with him, I just didn't want her to have a bad image of her son.

I looked at benito and he looked guilty and uncomfortable and quite frankly I was pretty uncomfortable too.

I tried brushing what just happened off and continued to eat, as I did so I felt my phone vibrate. I picked it up and it was my boyfriend.
Antonio🫶🏻: hey baby i got home early, where are you ?
Me: I totally forgot to tell you ! Im at gabi's house, she invited me to a bbq.
Antonio🫶🏻: oh okay i hope you have fun just let me know when you'll be home
Me: I'll leave rn see you in a bit
Antonio🫶🏻: you don't have to leave if you don't want to
Me: No it's fine, i miss you hehe
Antonio🫶🏻: okay then bebe see you soon
I locked my phone and looked up to see Benito was looking at my phone, he looked away but I still noticed.
" perdón pero ya me tengo ir, tengo un par de cosas que hacer pero me encanto verlos otra vez"
"Quisiera que te quedaras pero entiendo que te tengas que ir"
"No se preocupe señora muy pronto vamos a poder hacer esto otra vez"
"Ojalá que si" she gave me a hug and it felt so nice. Her hugs were always the best. , "Benito, corre con ella"
"No esta bien, you don't have to"
"No it's okay come on"
"Okay pues adiós mucho gusto volverlos a ver"
I walked outside with Benito next to me.
"Thanks for the invite, Benito"
"You're always welcome"
"This is awkward but I'm going to be real with you right now, I'm going to kind of block you again once I get home"
"Why, you know you don't have to"
"Yeah i do, i have a boyfriend now"
"Right we'll whatever" he said walking away
I sighed and put my plate in the passenger seat
"Oh Daniela, the Bentley is still yours if you want"
"Benito i told you that i was okay"
"Alright we'll just letting you know, bye"
I waved and got inside my car driving to my house.
