28. Who is She?

"You look woah."  Bella said to me after I finished the final touches to my mascara and eyeliner.  I had finally settled on my black ripped shorts and a loose Mayday Parade tank top with some black wedges and my hair was loosely curled.  "Luke is not gonna know what to do with himself when he sees you."  She said as she fixed the last piece of her hair.  Bella looked stunning.  Her red dress was surely going to make Calum faint.  

"Just watch Calum tonight, don't want him going to the hospital."  I said and we both laughed at the thought of Calum fainting over Bella as soon as we walked in the door.  "Alright let's go. Luke said be there a little early."  I grabbed my phone and slipped it in my back pocket.  We both hopped into Bella's car even though it was only a short drive, we were wearing tall shoes, and that's not safe.  Especially for me, I'm almost as clumsy as Luke.  We got there very quickly and saw a few cars already outside the boys' place and we could feel the music being pumped through the speakers.  "Let's go knock em dead."  I said and Bella walked with me, the door was already open so we walked into the house to see a surpsing number of people already walking around with drinks and others dancing in the living room. I looked above the crowd for that blonde quiff I'd grown used to.

Bella tapped my shoulder and pointed over to where Michael was talking to some girl.  I pushed through the crowd of people on the 'dance floor' and got Mikey's attention.  "Oh, hey Danni.  What's up?"  Mikey slurred a bit.  Damn, he was seriously drunk already? I asked him where Luke was and he just shrugged his shoulders and went back to talking to the girl.  I pushed through the people once again and got to the kitchen.  I couldn't find Luke anywhere.  Where the hell could he go at his own party?  I pulled my phone out from my pocket and called him.  Straight to voicemail.  He never turned his phone off, it was his baby basically.  

I went up to a random girl that was leaning against the counter and asked if she had seen Luke.  "I think I saw him go upstairs with Lanie, his ex.  They were going to talk or something."  She said and then walked away to talk to another guy I didn't know.  Alright Danni, calm down.  He's not doing anything bad, just talking.  He went upstairs so just go up there and look.  I took a deep breath and made my way up the stairs and to Luke's bedroom.  The door was closed and I couldn't hear anything.  I gathered up the small amount of bravery I had and opened the door enough where I could look inside.  My heart jumped.  A girl was in Luke's lap.  She wasn't just in his lap, they were kissing.  My eyes welled up with tears as I fully opened the door and Luke pulled away and spotted me.  

"No, Danni, no."  He said and pushed the girl off of him and came over to me.  I was filled with so many different emotions, anger, sadness, betrayal, not one of them could describe me fully.  Luke tried to grab hold of my hand but I slapped it away.  

"No Luke.  Just shut the fuck up.  This time, I'm really done.  At our fucking get back to together party?  Really?"  Any sadness that I had had turned to pure rage.  I looked at the girl who was still sitting there on Luke's bed with a smirk on her face.  "Make sure you use protection."  I said and walked away from the room with my middle finger raised at both of them.  I got down the stairs and I lost it.  I broke down into tears and couldn't handle it anymore.  My body and mind were thrown into a panic attack.  I sat shaking and crying and having trouble breathing at the bottom of the stairs.  I quickly got up when I heard Luke behind me and I pushed through the growing crowd of people.  I guess now is the time where my height would actually be an advantage.  I took off my wedges so I became even shorter in the crowd so Luke wouldn't be able to spot me.  

I ran out the front door with Luke thankfully losing me in the crowd.  I saw people all around me on the front lawn and I saw Ashton talking to another guy and ran over to him.  "Ashton I need help.  Hide me.  Luke.....he was just.....another girl..... hide......me....."  I managed to get out with my breathing still shaky.  He nodded his head but I could see the anger in his eyes.  Ashton put me behind his back and made the other guy stand next to him so that I wasn't visible to anyone facing them.  I heard Luke's heavy footsteps coming towards us.  

"Ash have you seen Danni?  I messed up bad."  Luke said a little out of breath from trying to chase me.  

'Sorry.  Haven't seen her Luke."  Ash said and I could feel my body relax a tiny bit.  Luke said he was gonna go to my house and see if I was there.  I could hear Luke's car leave and I finally came out from behind the two guys. 

"Thanks Ash.  And you too."  I said to the other guy next to Ash.  "Do you know where I could stay where Luke wouldn't find me?"  I asked and Ash nodded. 

"Go up to my room.  Third door on the right upstairs.  I'll sleep on the couch tonight.  And Luke will probably be at your house all night thinking you're there."  Ash said and I nodded and immediately went back into the loud house.  I got to Ashton's room and was surprised at how clean it was.  Well, except for the drumsticks and shirts piled in the corner of the room.  I grabbed a shirt from his closet and quickly changed into it leaving my shorts on.  I pulled out my phone once again and texted Bella that I was staying with a friend so she didn't have to worry about taking me home.  I knew Luke would ask her if she knew where I was, and I didn't want the chance of Luke finding out.  

I climbed into Ashton's bed and wrapped myself in the comforter.  I checked my phone one last time and all I kept getting were texts from Luke.  I turned it off and went to bed, trying to ignore the anger I had for that blonde haired boy.
