29. Abby

IM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING IN SUCH A LONG TIME I FEEL LIKE SUCH A BAD PERSON BUT I JUST GOT A NEW LAPTOP SO ITS GONNA BE A LOT MORE UPDATING

I woke up in Ashton's bed to a complete silence. I got up slowly and looked out of the door and into the hallway to make sure that the coast was clear before I walked out of the room. I stealthily walked past all of the boys' bedrooms and listened for anyone that would be in the living room or kitchen. I heard some soft snoring but I knew that it was Ashton becuase he had slept on the couch. I crept over to him and gently shook his arm to wake him up. His eyes slowly opened and when he saw me he looked a bit confused but then relaxed. "Hey Danni." He said to me and gave me a little tired smile.

"Hey Ash. Could you maybe take me to my friend Abby's house? I know that Luke will be trying to look at Bella's house and no doubt he will be waiting at mine. And he will have to come back here at some point." I said and Ash nodded as he stood up and stretched his muscles from sleeping on the uncomfortable couch.

"I just have to go grab a new shirt. Be down in a second." He said as he went up the stairs and I pulled my phone out to turn it back on.

Ugh. I don't even really know why he is trying. He was making out with some girl, on his bed, at our get-back-together party. Well, we are never ever getting back together now. He could come up with a bunch of excuses like "I was drunk" or "She kissed me." But that wasn't fooling me. I could see how much he was enjoying it, and he was kissing back like his life depended on it. Also, there wasn't even that much alcohol, and I knew for a fact that he hadn't had any. Why do boys have to be so stupid?

"Alright, let's go. You can give me the directions in the car." Ashton said as he came down the stairs buttoning his flannel. I nodded and walked out of the door with him following closely behind me and then opening the car door for me.

"Thanks Ash." I said as he climbed into the driver's seat next to me. He smiled at me and then I told him Abby's address and he punched the address into his GPS and started driving.

I leaned my head against the window and looked out at the road ahead of us. "You know I'm really sorry." Ash said as he glanced over at me with an unreadable expression.

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything." I said and then sat up in my seat so that I could look at Ashton.

"I'm just sorry for making you break up with Luke the first time because I kissed you and then I'm just sorry about Luke kissing that girl. I never would think that Luke would do that to you, like ever. I never imagined Luke to be that kind of guy, and I've known him for a while." Ashton said and he kept his eyes on the road the entire time but I could see his fists begin to clench the steering wheel, to the point of them turning white. I reached over and grabbed his hand and laced his fingers with mine so he could calm down.

"Ash, I have to admit, I am more than angry right now, but you have no reason to be mad at yourself for any of this. It was Luke's decision to kiss that girl and you had no control over that. Don't worry about me, I can be pretty tough." I said as I flexed my arm to prove my point. Ashton squeezed my hand a little and laughed at my flexed arm, which had close to no muscle on it.

Ashton flexed his arm and his was about triple the muscle compared to mine. "Nice, showoff." I said and I shoved him a little bit. He kept his eyes on the road but still managed to poke me in the stomach when I wasn't looking which caused to me burst into a fit of giggles. I'm very very ticklish.

After I had caught my breath once again, I shot a look at Ashton but wasn't able to keep it very long because a smile had taken over my face. "There's that smile." Ashton said as we pulled up in front of Abby's house. I hopped out of the car with Ashton following behind me. I knocked on her door and Abby quickly opened it with a smile on her face and immediately let Ash and I inside.

"Thanks again, Abby. You're a lifesaver." I said as I plopped down onto her couch with Ashton sitting beside my feet. "But you can't tell the other guys I'm here Ashton. Not even Cal. Or Bella. Im serious, Luke found out somehow last time where I was, I can't let it happen again." Ashton told me he would guard my location with his life and even turned off his phone so he wouldn't be tempted. "Oh and Abby, this is Ashton, Ashton, this is Abby." I said and introduced the two and they said a quick hello.

"You can stay as long as you need to Danni. But I need to hear the whole story later. Right now, I am out of Nutella and I desperately need to go shopping. See you two later, and your key is under the leaf of the plant in the kitchen." Abby said before heading out the door to save our lives by buying Nutella.

"Wow she's beautiful." Ashton said as soon as she left.

"You go for it Irwin." I said and laughed at him.
