8. Hate Paparazzi

I was getting hundreds and thousands of comments on my YouTube video telling about what had happened.  Some people felt sorry for me and seemed to understand while other people were telling me how I should be happy and excited that 5sos had actually talked to me for over 2 years.  I responded to some of them and told them that I would be doing a Q&A if everyone wanted it.  My phone started ringing and I looked to see it was an unknown number.  I hesitantly answered it and of course, it was Luke pleading for me not to hang up. I stayed silent while Luke kept talking and I could hear the other guys yelling in the background for the phone.

"Just please can we meet somewhere?  We really need to talk about this and we don't want you to run away.  We saw the video and we are seriously truly sorry.  Michael hasn't come out of his room since you left."  Luke explained over the phone in trying to get me to talk.  I just sighed and said ok.  I gave him the address of a nearby park and told him to be there in 15 minutes.  I hung up and collapsed onto my bed thinking about what I had just agreed to.  

I changed into my most comfortable clothes which was a pair of sweatpants and one of my favorite sweat shirts from one of my best friends Ryan.  I slipped on a pair of boots and grabbed my car keys and drove to the park.  The guys weren't there yet so I walked to the monkey bars and started climbing on top of them.  I sat there while I waited and looked out over the park.  I saw some figures coming over towards me so I jumped down from the bar and thankfully landed on my feet.  Thank God for hockey player balance.  

I crossed my arms and waited as they came over.  What shocked me the most was when Calum came up to me and just hugged me.  The other guys looked shocked as well.  I slowly just hugged him back and the guys' eyes went wide.  Calum pulled away after a few seconds and I saw Michael glare at Calum.  Luke and Ashton then came running up to me and picked me up in a huge hug.  These boys loves hugs a lot what is this.  Michael just seemed really pissed at the entire group because now Calum had joined in.  They eventually let go and Michael grabbed my hand and dragged me away from the group.  

"Do you like Calum a lot?"  Michael asked me once we were sitting at a picnic table and away from the guys who were looking at us from far away.  I furrowed my eyebrows at him and tilted my head to the side.  

"Um, why would you want to know?"  I asked him.  I saw Michael get all defensive and cross his arms at me.  He told me no reason and he just wanted to know if I did.  I decided that I would play a little game with him because he had played a game with me.  "I actually have a small crush on Luke, just don't tell Luke that."  I said and then smiled but covered it with the sleeve of my sweatshirt to make it more believeable.  Michael's face turned bright red in what seemed like anger, almost the color of his hair.  

"I won't tell him, ok.  But can we just put this behind us?  You were literally one of my best friends and in an instance I lost you.  I was planning on telling you on our birthday actually.  I didn't know any other time to tell you."  He was my best friend and I wanted so badly to forgive him.  I had told him all of my secrets and my problems and yet he still wanted to be my best friend.  I nodded my head at him after a while and gave him a smile.  He practically jumped up out of his seat and grabbed me and started to spin me around until we were both laughing so hard that we couldn't breathe.  

"Alright let's go back to the others because they are probably wondering what's going on because you were spinning me around."  I said as I started giggling and lazily walking over to the rest of the guys.  They all kept looking back and forth from Michael to me waiting for one of us to do something.  Since Michael didn't seem to be making the first move I took a step closer to him and wrapped my arms loosely around his waist since he was a lot taller than me.  Luke and Ashton started clapping and Calum started to clap too but he seemed a little bit more hesitant.  "You are all still my best friends and I'm hoping that you know what  you've gotten yourselves into after knowing me for 2 years."  

"I'm pretty sure we know."  Ashton said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we all started walking to the swings that were on the other side of the park.  

We had been on the swings for about an hour just talking about anything and everything we could think of when I heard Mikey mumble "Shit."  next to me on the swings.  I asked him what was wrong and he pointed to a bunch of paparazzi.

"Fuck."  I said as I covered my face and pulled the hood of my sweatshirt over my head.  It would be the worst thing if my mom were to see my face all over magazines.  Calum had pulled his hood over his head too and handed me a pair of sunglasses.  The other guys had pulled their hoods up too and they rushed me back over to my car.  

"We will skype you later, just unblock us please.  Ok bye!"  Ashton said to me as they ran back across the park to their car.  I went on my phone and tweeted that everything was ok now and unblocked the guys on Instagram, Twitter, and Skype.  They all followed me back and started tweeting smiley faces and a bunch of other dumb little things.  They're so cute.
