5. Surprise of a Lifetime

Sadly I couldn't go to Melody's house after school because I had to make up some stupid test that I had forgotten to take.  So I got home and texted her asking if we could Skype because I had finally made an account after my friends at school begging me to make one.  I logged on and Melody had given me her Skype name and I saw that she was online.  I pressed the video call button and waited until she picked up.  I was kind of scared to see an all black screen when she answered.  That's when I heard a guys voice, definitely not a girl.  

"Um, hi.  Please don't flip out and hang up or something.  Just give me a minute to explain."  The voice said.  I nodded and they pulled their hand away so I could see them.  It took a minute for it to adjust to the lighting and that's when I saw them.  The members of 5sos were there staring at me.  I couldn't say anything so I just ended the call.  I sat there in pure shock staring at my computer while they kept trying to call me.  I closed my laptop and wrapped my arms around my knees and started shaking back and forth.  That was 5sos.  It was actually them.  

"What just happened."  Was all that I could say to myself over and over again.  That was definitely not Melody.  Why the fuck would 5sos be on Melody's Skype?  Oh my God, one of them is Melody.  This is not good this is not good at all.  I had fangirled over them so many times... wait.  That was why they paid so much attention to me at the concert.  That was why Melody could never show up to anything.  I opened my laptop again and saw that they were still trying to call me.  I hit accept video call and the boys popped back up onto my screen.  They all started to talk at once about me not hanging up on them again.  

"ALL RIGHT SHUT THE FUCK UP.  WHICH ONE OF YOU PRETENDED TO BE MELODY?"  I screamed through the screen and they all went silent and looked to Michael.  I focused my gaze on him and he looked scared.  

"It....it...it...it was me."  He said and scooted back from his screen afraid that I would yell again.  

"Why would you lead me on like that for years?  I fucking thought you were my best friend and I told you everything!  I fangirled over you!  How the fuck could you do that to me?!?  YEARS Michael YEARS!!!!!"  I screamed at him as I started to cry.  I saw him looking at the ground and hung up again.  How the fuck could he do something like that to me?  I immediately went on my Twitter account and blocked them because they were all trying to message me through my DM's.  That's when Michael started texting me constantly.  I blocked his nummber and then laid on my bed just staring at my ceiling.  

I knew it was Michael Clifford from 5sos, but I was fucking pissed.  I had been catfished before and this just made it even worse.  I knew something was up with "Melody" but I would have never guessed that the reason she could never meet up with me was because she was on a world tour and she was a he.  I cried into my pillow while thinking how much of my time I spent talking to my "best friend".  I went onto my Twitter and saw that my notifications and DM's were blowing up.  They were from girls asking who I was and why the band was looking for me.  I looked on all the guys' Twitters and saw that they were all Tweeting asking people to DM me.  

I logged back onto my Skype and this time just messaged Michael.  

~Stop asking girls to DM me.  It's not going to work.~

Michael ~no.  I want you to talk to me.~

~First of all, I can just delete my Twitter, and second, I don't want to talk to you.  I'm done.~

I saw that he was typing but deleted his contact and blocked him so that he couldn't try and freind me or call me again.  My phone started going off next to me and I saw people from school were texting me asking me how I know 5sos and if I could hook them up.  I went on my laptop and deleted my Twitter so that no one else could do anything.  Some people might be happy that they got catfished by 5sos, but not me.  They lied to me and pretended to be a girl that then became my best friend.  That is the opposite of happy.
