'How did you know I'd be here?' You asked, your arms still enlaced around his neck and Jungkook's cool fingertips resting on your waist.
He looked to the side, as if embarrassed. 'Honestly I came looking for you yesterday. I came here and wandered around near your neighbourhood. But I didn't see you so I came looking again tonight.' He paused and smiled. 'I was so happy when I saw you walk through those gates.'
Jungkook nodded in the direction of the barrister at the opening of the park.
You smiled, your cheeks beginning to ache. He'd made you feel so special.
'I don't know whether to be creeped out or not,' you replied, raising your eyebrows. Romantic chat was not your strong point.
'Hey, I had this whole speech planned out, and I'm called a creep?' Jungkook joked, playing offended.
'I'm kidding, it was so sweet.' You nestled your forehead into the crevice of his neck.
It felt unreal. This guy you'd met a month or two ago, gorgeous and clicked with you like a lock and key, was now embracing you in your comfort place.
You both stood in the same position, warming each other and relieved to be held by one another, finally.
After a minute or so, Jungkook broke the silence.
'I hate to say this Y/N, but I've got to get back to the office for this meeting with people overseas.'
You looked up, disappointed the night would be cut short.
Jungkook met your gaze. 'But please let me take you on a date. Tomorrow? First thing in the morning - if you're free?' Jungkook eyes widened, awaiting your response.
'I can't wait,' you whispered, as you both leaned in and quickly pecked him on the lips. The small contact left a tingle on your lips and flared up your cheeks.
Jungkook apologised and said goodbye quickly, before jogging into the distance towards his car.
You were left there, his areas of contact burning your skin. Disbelief engulfed you, guess it hadn't all been on your end.
You stood there for another minute, re-living the situation that had just occurred. You felt dizzy with happiness and your jaw ached.
And then of course the guilt.
Oh, the guilt.
Bong-Cha.
Engaged.
Jungkook had just cheated - and you were the hussy?
Jungkook had just cheated.
You'd kissed an engaged man.
Your face scrunched up as you felt so at fault and disgusted.
It wasn't a "proper" marriage in the sense of feelings being involved. But still, that felt like a pathetic excuse to get you off the hook.
But alas, you'd agreed to go on a date with a man to be wed. Stepping away from this whole situation and removing yourself from the mess was the mature and right call.
And that's why it made you so mad that the entire walk home you were thinking about what to wear tomorrow. You knew you 100% shouldn't go on that date, but you still did. Because a handsome man, with undeniable chemistry, had never risked it all to confess his feelings for you before. His stupidity and bravery resonated with you.
When you got into bed after arriving home, Jungkook's confession swirled around your mind and intoxicated your head. Where he'd touched you still prickled, even in your dreamworld.
