Jungkook grinned at your use of "mysterious," and responded with, 'what do you want to know?'
You stared out into the pool of water, the wind brushing your hair out of your face and dancing around your shoulders.
Jungkook continued to look in your direction while you thought of what on earth you planned to ask first.
This man was so foreign to you. All you knew was that he was a businessman in an arranged marriage who had a boat and a flight tomorrow.
'What's... your - future look like?' You asked, instantly closing your eyes cringing. A good starting point would have been does he have a criminal record or what's his fight count?
Jungkook raised his eyebrows with a confused smile brushed on his lips.
'My future?'
'Sorry, that's a weird question,' you admitted. 'I'm just a bit scared. I mean - I know absolutely nothing about you.'
He nodded and traced his enlaced fingertips with his eyes.
'I guess in the future I'll be running the business with Bong-Cha...' Jungkook paused.
You were taking by surprise that he was actually answering.
'Maybe have a pet cat or something.' He stopped again, pursing his lips while trying to think of where his life would lead.
'Teach guitar or drums on the side?' Jungkook questioned, lifting his palms up in uncertainty.
Ok, now you were getting somewhere.
'You play instruments?' You queried. Glancing at him you completely saw it. The tattoos the messy black hair, just generally oozing a guitar and drum player vibe.
'Well, just those two, they're a fun distraction.'
'I used to play a little of the drums,' you admitted, reminiscing on your high school days of trying to be the mysterious drummer.
'No way!' He exclaimed, turning again to face you. 'You don't seem the type.'
You laughed, getting what he meant. The shy, awkward girl wasn't the typical target audience for a drum set. But you had dipped your toes in that world.
'I loved the feeling of escaping and being free for a couple minutes,' you replied.
'I completely get it. Annoys the living hell out of everyone else though.'
'That's one way to put it,' you giggled, remembering the earplugs you'd gifted your family at your drum playing peak.
'The escape thing though, your right on the ball,' Jungkook continued. 'It's like a different planet. It's just being creative. Honestly - It's one reason I almost envy your job, you get to be free and live your visionary passion.'
This caught you off guard slightly, not expecting your career to be brought up so abruptly.
'Yeah... it's definitely fun. But fearful because all I think is when is it going to crumbling down and I'll lose my source of income.'
Jungkook nodded, staring down at the water again. You assumed he couldn't relate to this, but it did feel nice to convey a worry of yours to a stranger.
'I can see that,' Jungkook softly spoke. 'I'm really fortunate not to have that issue... but I do wonder sometimes if I would be happier if I had more passion, with fear driving me... somewhere.'
'I'm getting a lot of hints your job isn't as glamourise as it seems,' you chipped in, finally relaxing by extending your arms to rest on the banister and resting your back on the cool, metal bars.
