The first day as members of the Newspaper Club began as any academic day in Yokai Academy. This typical start would include the part where Moka and Tsukune would meet up. She would ask if she can suck his blood, then go for it regardless of the answer due to her impulses. As Tsukune would be threatened to be sucked dry, he would be let go and fall into smothering embrace of Kurumu. The succubus would be too focused on her rival that Yukari would try to remind her of that, only for him to collapse when the witch's words fell on deaf ears.

In all of this, you just watched. Tsukune was not going to die by suffocation or anemia. Not yet anyway. The main focus was venturing to the Clubroom after classes. The room itself was configured like a small meeting area with a large table at the center. The only occupant was the home room teacher, Ms. Nekomine.

"Welcome to the Newspaper Club?" The instructor announced upon the group's arrival.

"Um.... Is there no one else?" Moka inquired.

"Of course not!" The teacher insisted.

As if timed to this conversation, the door opened once again.

"Sorry I'm late." The voice came from young man one year the initiate's senior, lightly built. Much like you, his uniform had no tie, but it was also an open shirt. This allowed you to see a pendant on his neck of a wolf's head. His black untamed hair was held by a red headband.

'Pendant with a wolf on it. Untamed hair. Probably a werewolf.' You deduced.

"First day and I'm already late." The boy allowed a self deprecating chuckle before he continued. "Hey guys! I'm Ginei Morioka, or Gin for short."

With a smile, he presented a two bouquets of flowers. A red one for Moka and a white one he handed to Kurumu. "I've gotta say, the club really lucked out to have girls as pretty as you joining us."

Moka naturally blushed at this. Kurumu on the other hand was indifferent, having been subject to flirting on a regular basis.

'Okay. Definitely a wolf. In more ways than one.' You concluded whilst Gin produced one extra flower for Yukari. Then he turned to you and Tsukune.

"You must be Tsukune and (F/n)." He took the time to shake hands with both boys. "I wonder if the rumors about the two of you are true."

He was referring to the "official" story of the two of you and the confrontations so far. It usually was either you or Tsukune, mostly you, that had apparently been responsible for the beat downs. You did not have much motivation to disprove them.

"Well it looks like things are under control here. I have a faculty meeting to attend, so I'll leave things to Gin. See you later!" Ms. Nekomine departed with those words.

Gin moves to stand and then lean before the table in front of everyone.

"Okay guys. For all of you newbies, the school paper is the source of all news at Yokai. And that means we're constantly looking for news everywhere. Anything that can reported should be reported."

"Yeah!" The girls cheered. You just observed them quietly.

"So, does anyone have a story we should pursue?"

A pause ensued while the group considered what would be worth writing about. It was Kurumu who raised her hand and made the first suggestion.

"How about that peeping Tom?" She said. "Haven't you guys heard? There have been reports of someone peeking in on the girl's dorm and changing rooms. It happens at night, and the only thing they've seen is the silhouette of some kind of beast. He's so fast, no one has gotten a good look at him."
