Once again, your dreams went back to that same landscape. A barren land filled with swords. This was not the first time you had this dream. Ever since you had slowly begun receiving the magic crests, it had been a constant reminder. After a long time, you had finally been told about what it was. Rather than being a mere memory or a side effect, it was another gift. Of course a family crest was a means to pass on a lifetime of research to the next generation. But now it was concluded as of today that it was indeed possible to transfer a Reality Marble. The images at first were grainy, like a badly preserved old style film. You could identify swords by their coarse shape, but you were unable to make out finer details. It had been black and white as well as if to suit that earlier simile. But as more and more of the crest was transplanted, the more clear and complete it was. Of course you threw yourself into practice in hopes of accelerating and gaining the same capabilities as your father, but it was not simple. Because of the incomplete transition, steps that should have been automatic had to be relearned. Before today, the best projection was a generic sword. But danger has a way of overriding limits.
But like Mystic Eyes, it was a dangerous thing to possess. A Reality Marble was taboo, tantamount to committing a sin against other Mages. Any revelation would result in one receiving a Sealing Designation by the Association. They would call it honor, by which they meant you effectively are in captivity as a specimen. And a young man capable of both Mystic Eyes and a Reality Marble, combined with being descended from the notorious names of Tohsaka and Emiya was the primary reason why you were sent here to Yokai Academy. Literally by the your bloodline, or more appropriately "Sono chi no Sadame!".
It was to keep you safe, away from the Association's prying eyes. It was here that good connections lead to a place that was either a Reality Marble itself or none other than Kaleidoscope. But the supposed sanctuary was becoming a new proving ground instead.
You sighed as you saw three familiar blades. Kanshou and Bakuya were an easy default because you had seen them many times before. But Caladbolg was a Noble Phantasm. More disturbingly, it was not from your father. In the memories passed down as a side effect, you had glimpsed it being used by someone different yet so familiar.
And that person had actively tried to kill your old man.
......
When your consciousness returned, the feeling was certainly different. Rather than the temperate air and the cold roof, you could feel the warm comfort of a bed and sheets wrapping around your body. Whatever the case, you certainly wanted to just lay there relax, maybe even sleep some more.
Then when you heard distant footsteps grew louder and fade, your eyes opened. Well the glasses were on. Somebody probably placed them on you since you forgot to put them back on. The room was white, and a quickl glacé showed more beds with white sheets. Clearly you were in the Nurses Office.
Save for the obvious fact that you killed Kuyo, you were not sure what had happened since you passed out. But the fact that you were in a hospital bed in place of a cell or a cross was a good start. But what happened to everyone else? In fact, why were you not in a cell? You did kill a person. The only eyewitnesses could be written off as biased.
The door to the office opened. Ms. Nekomine walked in.
"Oh (F/n)! You're awake!" She said.
"Miss Nekomine? What happened?"
"Oh. Well after you....well.... killed Kuyo, the faculty made it to the roof. Everyone else explained what had just happened." The Neko teacher explained. "With him gone, students began talking about various atrocities the Security Committee had inflicted. Because of this, the charges for everyone have been dropped. Your actions were ruled as self defense!"
