Your were breathing heavily. The magic circuits in you were running hot and inducing more perspiration than humanly possible. Every limb was complaining form the strain of heavy usage and reinforcement. The back of your eyes hurt, and it was joined by a nauseating headache where you would be minutes away from an aneurysm or stroke. It was only being held up by the temporary replacement of your glasses.

And you were elated.

There were few more welcoming sights in the heat of battle than the arrival of Saber. Her presence alone had changed the tide of battle. Even so, there was still such a battle that remained to be fought.

"Saber?" Inner Moka echoed the name.

"Indeed." Saber kept her attention on you. "(F/n), your mother dispatched me to aid in your struggle. She felt the existence of this hill and violations of secrecy warranted a response. And above all else, her unspoken worry for you of course."

Several plant monsters came at her from all sides. Saber simply moved her blade in a flourish. The force sent all of the attackers back in pieces. All of this while she did not appear to be breaking a sweat. At the same time, you felt a probing sensation. A request for mana. You reformed the link between you and Saber while keeping most of it to keep yourself in the game.

"Well let's fill you in." You pointed in Ruby's direction. "That witch is hell bent on killing anybody wandering on this hill under the orders of an elder witch in that house. My friends are fighting nearby."

"What do you propose?"

"You and Inner Moka rejoin them and keep Ruby occupied while I take out the leadership." You told her.

"And who put you in charge?" Inner Moka asked coldly, still back to back with you.

"(F/n)'s strategy is sound. As far as I am concerned, I will defer to his judgment. For I am his trusted blade." Saber declared. Technically speaking, that last bit belonged to your mother. She was Saber's master. Even so, Saber insisted that she was the family's blade.

"There better be a good explanation for this." Inner Moka grumbled before darting towards the monster perimeter and kicking a group of them away in a bid for the others. You smirked at the results of Saber's Charisma. Saber herself smiled your way, then easily burst through far more than the vampire. Inner Moka responded by increasing the body count.

With the way clear, you ran for the house. Sure enough, you could make out telltale roots from the structure.. For efficiency on the door.you simply used Gandr. It also let you recover a bit after using Death Perception. The wooden door easy gave way to the curse. You raised your eyebrows at this result. One would have thought a pair of witches would have better defenses beyond plants.

Noticeable within the confines of the house were massive roots. All of them were leading to a doorway. That must be the room of this "Her Ladyship". Readying the the overedged knife in one hand and a Gandr curse in the other, you moved in. You could see a figure in the room.

"Your Ladyship, I am (F/n). I am a fully fledged and combat specialized Mage. Your conduct is in violation of magi secrecy, a breach punishable by death. Cease your hostilities, or my family will annihilate Witch Hill." You said.

The figure did not move despite the threat. The cries and sounds of battle could be heard outside, but there was no sound emanating from Her Ladyship at all. You frowned. Perhaps she thought you were bluffing.
