The first successful publication of the Yokai Gazette was ironically one that outed one of its own members. After the encounter with Gin, you had wasted no time revealing who the Peeping Tom was to the school in an article. Not only did the paper get widely distributed, it also gave you the amusement of Gin running away from an angry mob of girls, some of whom had acquired kendo sticks. In fact, it was revealed that that the Newspaper Club had sold out a week later owing to this new popularity.

"Yes! All of them are gone! We should celebrate!" Moka cheered as the group ventured down the hallways.

"Yeah!" The others agreed. You nodded.

"Hey wait a minute." Tsukune said. He looked around. "Where's Gin? He was here a minute ago."

"Forget about him." Kurumu frowned. "He's either trying to hit on girls, or worse still taking photos he's not supposed to."

"Yeah. He's an enemy to all women." Yukari agreed.

"Right. Lamenting wolf man degeneracy aside, what are we gonna do to celebrate?" You asked them.

"Well I was thinking everyone bring some food to the clubroom." Moka said.

Your eagerness was reflected in the subsequent smile. "Leave that to me."

"Huh?"

"Simply put, in the family, prepping food is our specialty."  You declared. But at that moment, a person approached, a purple haired girl out of uniform and mumbling to herself.

"Can we help you?" You asked.

"Do you have another paper?" Her voice raised to be just barely audible.

"I've got one." Tsukune withdrew a newspaper he had in his pocket. The girl took the paper and gazed at Tsukune.

"Mmmm. Tsukune Aono. You're cuter than I expected." She remarked before she turned and walked away.

"Tsukune, do you know that girl?" Moka's tone in the question implied a bit of jealousy.

"No. I haven't seen her before." Tsukune replied. "In any case, let's go and celebrate after school!"

Timeskip

It turned out that the name of the strange girl was Mizore Shirayuki, and the reason she had not been seen before was that she had not come to school for reasons unknown.

More importantly, however, you made a beeline for your dorm to ready the food you were bringing. For maximum taste, some of them had to be freshly made. It was no trouble of course. Your father had been all too happy to let you watch and then learn.

You had made it to the Newspaper Clubroom to find Moka already present and having deposited her snacks.

"(F/n), have you seen Tsukune?" Moka asked.

"No. Looks like me and you got here first." You said, setting your food down carefully.

"That smells so good." The vampire commented. Coming from a person who's primary food supply was blood, that would certainly be a high compliment when the food was nothing like the fluid.

"I hope so." You said in response. The door opened again. Only it was not Tsukune or any of the other members of the Newspaper Club.

"Mizore? What are you doing here?" You asked her.

"You're waiting for Tsukune." The girl droned. "You can wait all day. He won't be coming."

As she made this aggressive declaration, you notice water was dripping off of her. Yet she did not appear to be wet, which raised the question of where it was coming from. In any case, you snapped into a defensive mode. This Mizore clearly was not acting friendly, and wherever that water was coming from would be bad news for Moka.
