There had been no hints so far in finding Touko Aozaki. In fairness, it was hard to search for a person on the run with a Sealing Designation, let alone from a high school in another dimension. When you had contacted your mother, she agreed with the idea. This was after chewing you out for taking on a Dead Apostle alone of course."So you think it's a good idea?" You asked via phone.
"The first good one you had in a while." She replied. "Too bad that last stunt by one of my possible future daughter's in law has put a lot of attention on the Second Owner."
"Issa told me she had been punished accordingly. But that doesn't solve the political problems, doesn't it?"
"Nope. The only thing keeping us from further repercussions is my clout with Zeltretch as his apprentice." She sighed. "On another note, you should be better adapting my family and life's work."
"Swords tend to be better in combat." You replied.
"And gemstones will let you have the mana to keep them going." She countered. "I gave you some for a reason."
"Right. Well, I need to go soon." You said. "Another field trip, this time to Fuyuki proper."
"Hmph. And here I am in London. I'll talk with my connections. Shirou is taking care of another Apostle Hunt. Sakura will be there if you drop by."
"Sounds like she'll be lonely." You remarked. Of course, that was the plan. The offer of a student's home was far cheaper than a hotel. There also were still elements of that idealism that lingered in you. On another note, you had seen Moka's home. It seemed fair to do the same for her.
"I'm sure she'd be happy to see you." Of course your aunt would be. She doted on you whenever she had the chance, sometimes clearly trying to be more of a mother than the real deal.
"Yep. Love you."
"Love you too."
With that, you hung up and focused back on the bus ride. Next to you was Kurumu. The other members of the Newspaper Club surrounded you in the bus, chaperoned this time by Ruby. It would be a longer trip to Fuyuki this time. The idea was for Yokai students to visit and immerse themselves in human lifestyles. The Club's job was to endorse it.
"You're gonna go to your house aren't you?" Kurumu guessed. Since the conversation with Moka, you opted to be more open to her at least.
"One of them actually. The Tohsaka estate is nice, but the Emiya household is the favorite." You said.
"Sounds nice. No places to avoid, especially people." Mizore commented.
"Actually, there are." You refuted. "Or more accurately, places that don't have the most pleasant vibes. We are not going anywhere near Ryuudou Temple."
This was not a slight on the temple or the monks there, especially not Issei Ryuudou since the man was close with your father. The fact of the matter was that said monks might not take too kindly to sensing the presence of the supernatural. They already got their fill unknowingly in the last Grail War.
Right. You had never fully explained just what Saber was, nor the conflict that had defined much of your family. It might be as good a time as any to divulge it, at least to Moka.
"Exorcisms aside, any other places to stay away from?"
"The Central Park."
"Why a park?" Outer Moka asked.
You glanced at Saber. Nothing in her expression hinted that this should be withheld. Even so, it would be tough to explain it all to everyone.
"It's better if we showed you one time and one time only."
