"I love you too" I whisper back, a smile appearing on my face

"I love you too" I whisper back, a smile appearing on my face. My hormones are going crazy after what we just did.

"Good" Jace says, brushing my hair out of my face for me. Shortly after, he steps out of the shower to hand me a towel. He wraps his own around his waist. "Have you eaten?" he asks me, when we enter the bedroom. I shake my head no and notice my stomach rumbling the minute he says those words. "I'll be right back" Jace adds, unlocking the door and disappearing shortly after.

I take the opportunity to get dressed, and feel a huge amount of relief that Jace and I are okay again. Walking out onto the balcony that is connected to our bedroom, I lean myself onto the railing. The smile from earlier is still plastered onto my face. It's a beautiful day today. The sun is shining, the sky is clear and bright blue.  The sound of the ocean is making a peaceful feeling appear inside of me. I'm kind of sad, that today is our last full day here in Portland. I really enjoyed the time here. Although I'm slightly feeling anxious about our drive back tomorrow, I try not to let it get to me. I let myself fall onto one of the wooden chairs on the balcony. Seconds after, Jace reappears in the door with a tray.

"Here you go, babe" he says, placing in on the table next to me. He brought up two glasses of orange juice, two croissants, some strawberries and a coffee for himself, since I don't drink caffeine. Everything looks delicious.

"Thank you" I say sincerely.  "Is everyone else up?" I add, as Jace hands me my juice.

"Yeah, they're all eating downstairs" he answers, digging in to the food. I nod my head back at him. "Are you okay with everyone?" I ask, thinking of Austin and Bree especially.

"Yeah. I talked to them this morning, we're good" he answers, and I'm glad that no one is holding grudges.

"I've never asked you how you're feeling, after last night?" I add, placing a strawberry in my mouth.

"I'm fine. I do feel a little hungover, but I'm to blame for that" he says, finishing his croissant. I simply nod my head back at him, not knowing what to say. "The others want to go to the aquarium today. Do you want to join them?" he asks me.

I know he's asking because he's polite, but I was sort of really looking forward to this day with just the two of us. "I don't have to go. There's an aquarium in Seattle" I answer, finishing my glass of orange juice.

"I was hoping you'd say that" he answers, smirking to himself. "Come here" he adds, reaching his hand out to me. I lay my hand in his and he pulls me over on his lap. We both enjoy the view for a while. "Are you looking forward to go home?" Jace asks, as I take a breath.

"Yes and no. I like it here, a lot. I mean, I don't mind going back home, I'm just a little anxious for the drive tomorrow" I admit to him, placing my hand on his.

"You don't have to be. You were fine on the drive here, even though you were struggling" Jace says. Without answering, I nod my head. I appreciate his words, even though they don't help.
