Since the Sand Kingdom was so large, it was divided into two. Most live closer to the southern border, due to it being closer to the SandWing Stronghold, and close to the Five-Tail River. A few still live north, but even then they are usually close to the Five-Tail river or the ocean.
Most SandWings still live in their villages, as rounding them all up would be to difficult for the current Pantalan presence. However, the SandWings that have been captured have been relocated to one of the Secondary Hives in the district. Some have fled to the Scorpion den or extremely isolated villages for safety.
The Northern Desert District was one of the first to fall to the Pantalan dragons, since they only had to kill Burn, and the SandWings would be too scared or too apathetic to stop them. And since they murdered one of the strongest dragons in Pyrrhia, the SandWings have a subservient attitude towards them, thinking that they would be too strong to fight against.
The Hives in the Northern Desert District are the Wasp Hive, Tsetse Hive, Yellowjacket Hive, Jewel Hive, Bloodworm Hive, and Vinegaroon Hive.
