Sitting on Brian's bedroom floor—from previously being shoved into the window frame seconds beforehand—you got a pretty good look of the room.

It was rather plain, not consisting of very much, though you didn't blame him for it.

Out of breath, you both tried to catch a breather, leaning against the bed. Your head rested against it, tilted back, eyes closed.

The adrenaline had caused Brian to sober up some, the affects of the shitty beer not lingering very much. He stood up before stripping of the yellow hoodie, the black shirt underneath it hugging his chest tightly.

You couldn't even begin to question what in god's name that was or why it had appeared.

   Neither of you questioned it.

He took a seat next to you, eyes staring into you.

"Are you okay?" His words are gentle and smooth, despite having gravelly undertones. His southern twang always made you feel warm.

"I'm okay. What about you, though?" A small 'psh' escaped his lips, a smile forming on his lips as his naturally ditzy demeanor radiates.

"I'm always okay." His positive etiquette making you beam back at him. His hands made their way to your shoulders, pulling you into an embrace. You melted into him, taking in his bittersweet scent.

"We'll be okay." His words were assuring, and for once, you believed that it'll actually be okay.

You wake up to the way your skin buzzes like the static on the broken TV box your grandmother used to own, the dim light filtering through your blinds makes the near constant headache you have flare up and your ears screech like ravens and crows.

Your throat feels tight and your tongue feels like cotton on your teeth and you wonder if today's one of those days where talking will be more exhausting than it reasonably should be, but this is routine and so you tug the blankets higher and wait out the time it takes between each breath to remember how to face the world and not want to scream at it to be less than it is.

You step into the small kitchen, seeing Jay standing there in his sleep clothes. Letting him stay with you while you guys figure everything out actually helped with your loneliness issues by far.
