"Bloom"

11:34am"Are you sure you're gonna be good to stay here by yourself?"
Charlie questions as he throws a cap over his head, a worried glance gestured your way. "Yes, I'll be fine. You worry too much." You propped your feet up on the coffee table and scoffed.
"See? She's fine." Jay says, picking up his camera bag. "She's an independent woman." You snorted at Jay's words as you shoved a spoonful of fruit loops into your mouth.
"Alright, well, we'll be back before noon. Call us if you need anything." Charlie says.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it." You clicked to different channels on the TV as the three guys left.
The apartment was silent now, minus the sound of your quiet crunching and the music of Tom and Jerry on the screen.
Your eyes glazed over as you focused on the cartoon, a childlike ping in your chest. You felt free for a moment. Watching cartoons in your pajamas while eating cereal. You felt like a kid again.
Your ears seemed to pick up on something. You paused the episode, setting the bowl down quietly. The noise you were positive you heard couldn't have come from the show—you've watched that episode at least a billion times, yet you could've been imagining things.
But you know better than that.
Your paranoid mind threw all kinds of thoughts and assumptions your way as you slowly stood up, the animated cat and mouse frozen in time—Jerry just merely getting away from Tom for the millionth time in the show's history.
You whipped your head around at the sound of a floorboard creak behind you, heart rate skyrocketing as you nearly couldn't believe your eyes. You didn't have any words.
His familiar frame stood across from you, silent as if he wasn't even there.
"What the.. what the hell are you doing here?" You couldn't tell if you were concerned, angry, upset, or all of the above.
Though, he didn't speak a word.
"Come on, don't.. don't do this. Don't do this to me, Brian." You felt like strangers. He was acting like you were strangers. It's like there's a faint aura around him. But you couldn't tell if you saw a halo or horns.
