School was easy, at least the actual school part. It was the kids that made it difficult. He was going on his second week, and he still had only one real friend. Even with Bakugo around to defend him, Izuku couldn't help but feel sad at his classmates words.

"Yo, Deku!" Katsuki calls out before he can get in line for lunch, "We're eating outside today."

He watches with wide eyes as his friend holds up two bento boxes and practically jumps with excitement. It had been forever since he has had Auntie Bakugos cooking.

They sit outside, with Bakugo glaring at any 'extra' who happens to look their way until a steady conversation ensues, "Do they know about your quirk?"

Izuku shakes his head, swallowing the spicy curry, "No. I don't know if I'm going to tell them."

"Why not? I thought you said you trusted them." Bakugo accuses with his eyes narrowing.

"I- I do." And he does. Of all the months he'd been with them they had done nothing but treat him with kindness, he was really happy, "I'm just... I'm scared. Everyone always wants me to use it, and I just..."

Katsuki ruffles his friends hair, "I get it. That's okay, you don't have to tell them if you don't want to. Hell, you never have to use it again after what your dad did." He pauses, taking his hand from Izukus head, "And if they do make you use it," he clenches his fist, "I will end them!" He yells.

Izukus laugh is contagious, which explains how the two find themselves doubling over with laughter until the lunch bell rings, signaling their five minutes warning. Bakugo looks up, "Damn," he motions to Izukus box with his spoon, "My mom will end me if I come back with leftovers."

The two shovel the curry into their mouths until both boxes are empty. And when they stand up, large burps erupt from them simultaneously.

The rest of the day goes by quickly and Izuku rushes to try and find his Dad. Aizawa hated driving and tried to avoid it at all costs, so he was usually waiting by the front of the school to walk them home together.

He pauses when he doesn't see him, and he tries to push down the little bit of panic. He looks at the pickup line, but doesn't see Yamadas car either. He waits awhile, even though his parents are never late he holds out hope. The line is dwindling down when he hears someone honking.

In the car is Midnight, who waves to him excitedly. The lady opens the back door for Izuku but he stands with his arms crossed, "What's the safe word?"

Nemuri looks surprised, "Zuzu, I came over for dinner twice last week."

"SAFE WORD!" He demands.

Her eyes widen, "Jeez, kid, fine. Pickles and sardines."

His nose curls in disgust but he gets in the backseat and buckles his seatbelt. Before she even gets out of the line he questions her suspiciously, "Where's Mr. Aizawa?"

"He got caught up at school so he asked me to bring you to your therapy appointment." Oh yeah.

He uncrosses his arms and relaxes, "Sorry," he mutters. She reassures him that she doesn't mind, "What happened at school?"

"I believe he's waiting on a student in the infirmary. Apparently a sparring match between two students got a little out of hand, but your Dads alright." She pauses. Her darling nephew hadn't referred to either Aizawa or Yamada as Dad or Papa since the first day, "How was your day?"

He begins to retell his day, starting how Hizashi burnt a pancake and ending with his last maths lesson of the day. By the time he's done they're at the office. Nemuri checks Izuku in and she explains that either Aizawa or Yamada will pick him up after his hour long appointment.
