"Amajiki-Chan!" Izuku calls from the hallway, knocking on the door. The third year sits up and glances at the alarm clock on his bedside table, rubbing his eyes.
It's ten in the morning. He couldn't remember the last time he slept in that late. Izuku calls his name again and the boy tells him to come in.
The twelve year old throws the door open and grins, "Cmon, Amajiki! Get ready so we can do stuff!"
"Al-alright."
When he enters the kitchen a few minutes later Izukus on his second plate of food while his homeroom teacher works on a crossword. He sits down and eats what's served to him slowly, listening to the conversation between Izuku and the boys dad.
"Why can't we go to the beach?"
"Because I said so," Hizashi sighs.
"That's not a real reason."
The two continue to bicker until finally Hizashi turns to his student, "Does everything taste okay?"
Amajiki nods and asks quietly, "Where is, where is M-Mr. Aizawa?"
"He's getting your new phone set up!" Izuku responds before his papa has the chance.
The boy blushes fiercely, "I-I don't, you don't have to get-get me a phone," he says quietly.
"It's alright, it's no bother. It's more for Shotas and I piece of mind."
"Do you have any questions?" Izuku asks, bouncing in his chair as if he's had three cups of coffee.
"Um," he glances between the two, "Is, is there some sort of sch-schedule for the, the shower?"
Hizashi explains he's free to shower whenever. He showers when he gets back from patrol, but the boy might have to fight his son for it in the mornings. (Later on he asks Izuku when Mr. Aizawa showers and the boy just curled his nose and whispers, 'there's a reason his hair is so greasy all the time').
Amajiki spends the rest of the day in his room, doing the homework his teacher had brought him from his missed school day. Even when he's finished he stays in his room, a little afraid to touch anything until the green bean enters.
He demands they watch a movie together and they scroll through Netflix until Izuku finally decides on a horror movie.
At one point Izuku screams and Amajiki jumps very high and less than a minute later a knock comes from the door causing the two to share a nervous glance, "Who is it?" Izuku calls out.
"It's dad, Izu. Amajiki, may I come in?"
They leave the movie playing as the door opens to reveal a rough looking man. His eye bags were worse than normal but he didn't appear to be injured so Izuku let's it slide.
Aizawa hands the phone to the boy and walks him through syncing his old data in the phone, "It's not brand new," Aizawa apologizes, "But it's only a year old. We got the screen fixed for you and put in a new SIM card as well."
Amajiki thanks him and the man stands to leave the two boys alone though the movie catches his attention. It doesn't take long for Izuku to start giggling at his dad who stands in the middle of the room watching, "You know you can sit down and watch with us, right?"
"No..." he trails off, his eyes entirely focused on the TV, "I've got some papers I need to grade..."
He says this but doesn't move, which only causes Izuku to giggle harder. It was such a dad thing to do that even Amajiki couldn't help but smirk.
He only notices the giggles after a jump scare, and turns to his son, grinning widely with his teeth. The sight was unnerving, but it only made the young boy laugh at his dads attempt to be threatening.
