A/N: Soooo ya girl tested positive for COVID, so I'm hoping to post about three chapters everyday. I'm hoping to finish this before school starts up again on the tenth, so wish me luck!!

Todoroki had only been to school once so far during his internship, and it was almost the end of the week. He had to follow his dad around night and day, with the man making sure to keep him busy. They slept at his office three of the four nights, though Shoto hardly slept trying to make sure he kept up with his homework.

Plus, that was the time when he and Izuku could talk. They mainly just texted and told each other about their day that way, learning their lesson from the first night having been on a phonemail for three hours.

However it didn't seem like his dad was planning to stop to rest on Thursday night, and this was confirmed when Endeavor informed him of their trip to Hosu.

Without thinking he immediately texts Izuku, telling him about going to the different city, though the boy must still be on patrol with Hizashi because he doesn't respond or read the message. A little disappointed, Shoto put his phone in his pocket, not bothering to turn the ringer off.

Izuku didn't really know which parent he preferred to patrol with. Both had their pros and cons; Aizawa taught him some moves to keep up which were really fun, but most of the time he wouldn't let the boy do anything else other than paperwork; Yamada was fun because he got to see how his papa interacted with people and let Izuku do the fun part of taking a criminal down while he shouted (advanced ear plugs were always required for any coworkers of Hizashi, though at the end of every night Izuku's ears would still be ringing), but he was too easy to catch up with unlike his dad who challenged him.

Still, even though the two men weren't his first choice, he was pretty satisfied with how his internship was going. He was learning a lot, even if it's just the paperwork that's introduced to him.

The only downside was not being able to see Shoto everyday, but they had made plans to hang out during the weekend so he tried to focus on that rather than the longing for his boyfriend.

On Thursday he was patrolling with his papa in Hosu. It had been a last minute decision, but the police had asked him there due to the influx of crime because of the popular Hero Killer. His phone was on silent, as it always was since it went off in his dads class and he confiscated it for the rest of the day.

Hizashi and Izuku patrol a semi-crowded area, though so far everythings been quiet. Bored, Izuku begins to play with his new shoes he had gotten from the support class. They had special material that made the push offs from the last steps of his jumps stronger, and dulled the impact of landing and kicking people.

He walks behind his papa, testing how high he can skip into the air without striding. Hizashi ignores the boy, hoping he gets tired of it on his own, but of course the man can't be that luckily. When he doesn't let up after ten minutes, "Deku- knock it off!" He turns back.

Izuku barely has a moment to process his papas widening eyes, before he's tossed to the side. He covers his ears and curls into a ball when he screams, using the sound waves to slow the speed of the car heading towards the ground. Screams erupt from behind them and Izuku quickly recovers to see a Nomu like the one during the USJ attack. His heart sinks when he realizes there are three.

Hizashi yells at Midoriya, shaking him until his ears top ringing. Finally, the voice can be hear at a dull volume, "There should be a rescue and recovery set up two blocks over- help out where you can there."

He couldn't let Yamada go. These things had almost killed one of his dads before. The man's eyes only harden at the tug on his sleeve, "Now Deku!"

He flinches, but turns to the two people his papa had pulled out of the flying car. He doesn't watch as his papa heads directly towards the fight, "Can you walk?"
