"Izuku, come on!" Todoroki whines, looking around his mess of the room.
The boy laughs through the phone. They had been texting for about an hour, and Shoto really needed his boyfriend to be serious about this, "So you're sure your wearing jeans and a t-shirt?"
"I'll change into it now so there are no surprises," the boy laughs.
He silently thanked the gods, though it still amazed him how Izuku would stay in his uniform until he had to do something. But he wasn't going to tease him about it, well at least not until after dinner.
Soon enough his boyfriend face replaced the shot of the ceiling and he flipped the camera showing his room as he walked towards the mirror in the corner. He poses, moving the phone towards his face so Shoto can see the fit.
He wears a pair of blue jeans like he promised with a brown belt. His light yellow shirt is cropped, just barely showing the shadows of Izukus abs, "See? Nothing too special."
Shoto smiles, taking a screenshot, "Come on, show me what you got, Sho."
Blushing he quickly says goodbye, "See you at dinner, Izu!"
"No fairrrrr-"
Two hours later Fuyumi drops him off in front of the apartment, the exact same time Mirios approaching. The older boy greets his underclassmen and the two wait to be buzzed in.
Amajiki runs to the door, wanting to intercept his boyfriend before his parents do, ignoring Aizawas threat ('You've just been cleared to walk, Tamaki! Run again and your stuck to your chair the rest of the week!').
Amajiki and Izuku don't even let their boyfriends take a step in the door before their shoving them into their rooms, "You're supposed to take it easy!" Aizawa grits at his kid. He was going to go gray prematurely.
"Dinner will be ready in ten!" Hizashi singsongs as he hears two doors slam shut.
The young boys room was so chaotic that Todoroki found it comforting. Posters littered the walls, mostly of hero's but some others as well. One entire shelf of the boys desk was filled to the very back with different action figures, while the chest in front of Izukus bed was covered in stuffed animals.
Todoroki grabs his favorite (the stuffed giraffe) and flops down on the horrendous green bean bag chair. Izuku follows him, and Shoto wraps his arm around his boyfriend, "This is gonna be ass, isn't it?" Shoto mutters.
The green haired boy moves his head with a pained smile on his face, "Yeah, most definitely."
The four boys thank the men for the food before digging in. Todoroki hasn't had anything but soba for the past week, but the more food that was in his mouth the less questions he'd have to answer, or that was his thought.
"So how did you and Izuku get together?" Aizawa asks almost immediately without touching his food.
He flinches, trying to chew quickly and swallow but Izuku answers, "Well, we started texting awhile ago. We hung out a couple of times but after the sports festival we really wanted to be a couple."
"So you've been dating for three weeks and you're only now telling us?"
Hizashi steps in before it can get too awkward, "What do you do for fun, Todoroki?"
The rest of the dinner goes fairly smoothly, with Hizashi asking somewhat normal questions to the two boys. Amajiki can't help but blush when Mirio tells his parents they've been together for four months.
After what seems like a lifetime (though only forty five minutes), the boys are excused and decide to go get ice cream, leaving the two parents alone at the dinner table.
"They're too young to be dating," Aizawa grumbles as he clears the table.
"Amajiki is almost seventeen, and Izuku's fifteen. I knew I liked you when I was a first year too." He wraps his arms behind his husband, nuzzling his nose into his neck, "But I don't like it either."
"They're still just babies."

A few nights later, Izuku wakes up with a start. He's drenched in sweat, but he does find some relief in the fact he didn't have an accident. He grabs his phone to check the time before heading to his dads room and sees a message from ten minutes ago from his boyfriend. To: Shoto
Why are you still up?
The boy moves to his bean bag chair on the floor, turning on the small lamp, hugging one of the many floor pillows.
From: Shoto
Couldn't sleep. You?
To Shoto:
Bad dream...
From Shoto:
Do you want to talk about it?
Izuku bites his nails, glancing towards the door. He really doesn't want to wake up his papa.
To Shoto:
Can we meet in the park?
The boy agrees, and instructs Izuku to wait until he gets to the apartment so he doesn't have to walk alone. While he waits he throws on a sweatshirt and messages his sleeping brother. If he did manage to get caught, he didn't want his family to think he was missing.
Finally Izuku hears a couple sounds against his window. He grins when he sees his boyfriend preparing to throw another ice cube but upon seeing the boy peek his head out the window he waves instead.
He scrambles down the building and lands softly next to Todoroki who gives him a hug, "You alright?"
Izuku and Todoroki hold each others hands as they walk towards the park, "It was about Hisashi again."
Shoto nods, urging him to continue. Izuku looks at his feet, kicking a small rock in front of them, "I know its been years, but sometimes... it's really hard to forget about the things he did to me."
It's quiet. The only sound being their feet hitting the ground in sync with the street lights softly buzzing about them. Todoroki doesn't say anything. He doesn't need to, not really. He just needs to hold his boyfriends hand and listen to whatever he wants to tell him.
They make it to their bench and sit, practically on top of each other, "The Hosu attack. How I took down Stain."
Shoto shivers at the memory of the empty look in Izuku's eyes, "Hisashi taught me how to do that. I forgot about it until that moment... And now I remember it all." He leans his head against Todoroki's shoulder, feeling the comforting pressure of their hands together, "He would do something to me, like break my arm. He showed me how to torture people."
Todoroki sees the look of shame in his eyes grabs onto the green hair, kissing the top of his head, letting his face rest in it for a moment, "It's not your fault, Izuku."
"They were my own hands," he whispers with tears filling his eyes, "It was my quirk."
"You were a child!" he snaps. Todoroki looks down, lowering his voice. He hadn't meant to snap at him. He just... he hated Hisashi with every fiber of his being already, and he knew he didn't know the full extent of all he'd done, "You were a child," He pleads.
"You were just a kid, Izuku. He was your father. You were doing what was necessary to survive. Not a single thing that man did to you or made you do was your fault, nothing."
He could cry thinking about his boyfriend as a five year old, helpless and hurt as Hisashi would beat him. He must have felt so scared, and so alone- and it broke him. Izuku begins to cry. He cries hard.
All this time, he couldn't help but believe that he had done something to deserve his fathers hatred. Even something as simple as having a villainous quirk. When he was younger he had constant reassurance from his parents which had helped but hearing it from Todoroki...
He has no obligation to love Izuku. No obligation to help him through his trauma and self-esteem issues. He has no obligation to make him feel better.
But he does. He does because he believes it's the truth. Todoroki sees him as no one ever had before.
