Inko's eyes light up as Izuku and his social worker enter the room. She watches as the woman whispers something to him and sits at a table across the room and pulls out a crossword book.

Izuku meets the woman's eyes, glaring holes straight into them as he approaches. She doesn't notice, or at least she doesn't care. Her eyes are full of tears as her boy grows closer.

He stops about ten feet away from her and waits for her to speak, "Izuku," she whispers, tears spilling, "Can I, can I hug you?"

"No."

She nods and sits down, wiping her eyes with a tissue. He reluctantly sits across from her, regretting agreeing to come to this. How had he let his dads convince him to do this?

He knows why. They didn't tell him directly, but he knew if he did this he could convince her to give up rights and they could finally adopt him. He would never be taken from his dads again.

"You've gotten so big..."

"Yeah, Inko. That's what happens when you don't see your kid for six years, they grow up."

She closes her eyes, "I'm sure you have a lot of questions," she trembles.

Her son looked so much like her. He had grown, but that was the same face she had loved and missed for so many years.

Izuku leans back in his chair crossing his arms, "Why did you leave me?"

Inko nods. He wasn't beating around the bush, "I... I was scared your father would kill me. I had tried to escape with both of us but... he found us. He beat me and made you take it away so he could continue.

"I couldn't risk him using you against me again," she sobs.

"Why didn't you come back? Why didn't you call the cops?"

She puts her head in her arms, sobbing on the small table. Izuku is having none of it. He waits a solid ten minutes before she can continue, "I wanted, I wanted to make a good life for you," she forces a smile, "I wanted to have a home for you when I got you out... with your quirk," she wipes her nose, "it would be too easy for a foster family or group home to use.

"I wanted me and you to be a family. Just us and safe."

Izuku leans forward, narrowing his eyes, "But you didn't come back."

Her voice cracks when she speaks. Izuku remembers when he was little hearing his mom cry. She would beg his dad- Hisashi not to hurt him, to please to please leave him alone. He begins to remember Inko standing between him and Hisashi, her small body being thrown to the side, "I started doing illegal things. I got addicted to heroin, and suddenly it had been two years," she cries.

"I couldn't go to the police, I was high all the time. There was nothing I could do."

Izuku just barely processes the words. In his head, he can see Hisashi grabbing his moms hair, dragging her screaming into the kitchen as Izuku sits curled in a ball crying, "Of course there was something you could do!" He shouts, standing up.

He's having a panic attack and he wants his dads. No he needs his dads, "Aizawa and Yamada would never NEVER leave me there!!! They would never give up on trying to keep me safe! They would never forget about me you absolute BITCH!" He screams, sobbing as he goes over to his social worker who's already making his way towards him.

She tries to calm him down, but he just tugs on her arms begging her to see his dads. He cant remember anything his therapist told him in this moment. All he knew was that he was scared and wants his dads.

The woman explains that he still has half an hour left, and Inko tries to console him but everytime he she speaks he hears Hisashis voice.

After fifteen minutes he ends up on the ground, hugging his knees and crying uncontrollably. He convulses anytime the women try to touch him.
