Aizawa didn't love running or working out in his neighborhood, instead preferring to go to UA and using their facilities after patrolling. However, it would be too much of a struggle trying to coordinate all their schedules, so every night at 6:30 p.m. him and his son would go on a run.
Aizawa would set the pace. The one time he let Izuku try they ended up sprinting for fifteen minutes before Izuku dragged his feet the rest of the route. Up until the final two miles of the run, Izuku would do great. Aizawa gradually would pick up the pace towards the end, attempting to push his son harder. The boy now accepted these challenges, though he couldn't help but feel discouraged after not seeing much change.
Other than stamina training however, his dads didn't give too much advice unless asked for. Bakugo and Izuku alternated their training areas throughout the week, though their favorites were Fridays when they could meet up with UA second years.
Amajiki began to open up a little more to the two kids, even Bakugo. Sometimes on those days Hizashi would attend to supervise so they could fight with their quirks, and Izuku held his own but still lost almost every fight.
Still, the boy wasn't too discouraged. He knew he would need some type of support item to take on those with strength quirks. As for his own quirk, he did find himself growing impatient with the rodent.
"We've been doing the same thing for three weeks now!" Izuku explains after he transfers a bruise from himself to Mirio with gloves on.
Nezu just hums and instructs the boy to transfer it back to himself for the second time, "Look, I know repetition is important, but I want to find out more about it!"
"Like what?"
Izuku sits next to Mirio who ruffles the boys hair, "I want to know if I have to have contact with the specific spot of the injury, I wanna know if there's a way to pass it on through multiple people, and I wanna know if there's a way to use it without hurting anybody! Like, if non living things can take it away!"
He hums again. Mirio suggests inviting Amajiki to help out but that earns a harsh glare from Izuku, "Weren't you the one who told me if anyone hurt Tamaki you'd end them?!"
Mirio blushes and scratches his neck, "Yeah well," Nezu finds his students embarrassment endearing, "But you always take it back! So he wouldn't really be getting hurt!"
Nezu convinces him to continue with today's exercises and he would come up with something new the next week.
True to his word, the next Wednesday Mirio, Izuku, and Nezu found themselves in the courtyard of the school. Sitting on a bench was a small gold fish, a box, and a small plant.
The rodent instructs him to take a bruise from Mirio and transfer it to the fish. Izuku looks horrified, "What if it kills him?!"
"Fish don't tend to bruise. I want to see if it would still work."
Izuku refuses to try it with the fish which prompts Mirio to say, "Sooo you'll give it to your best friend but not a fish?"
Izuku glares at him, " Well you, a human, don't die from a bruise!"
Nezu moves instead to the plant, but stops the boy when he places his hand on one of the leaves, "I don't want you to contact the plant directly. Put your hand in the soil."
Izuku places a hand on Mirios arm and one in the plant, "You explained that you could see the injury moving towards your body. I want it to transfer directly to the plant."
The bruise enters his fingertips and Izuku pauses, holding his breath, "I don't, I don't know how to do that."
Nezu stands on the ledge with the items and puts his paws on the boys face, "That's okay. Just try."
