"Amajiki, stay after class please."
He looks at Present Mic from his desk in the back, doing his best not to shake. He slowly packs up his bag and sits in a desk at the front. It was Tuesday, just a day after Izuku had left the foster house, "Yam- Yamada-San I am sorry, I am sorry about m-missing class yesterday. It won't, won't happen again."
His gaze softens at the boy who wrings his hands together nervously, "Izuku told us about his weekend. I just wanted to thank you. He said that you took care of him."
Amajikis leg bounces, "I, I tried to keep him close, close to the house. M-Mirio told me about, about his birth parents being around, and I, I didn't want anything bad to, to happen."
"Thank you for that Tamaki."
Yamada thinks for a second, trying to find the best way to approach this but the boy speaks first, "Am I, can I go, can I go now?" He asks quietly.
Present Mic smiles, "Not yet, kiddo. Izuku told me that you have been there for a few weeks," he bites his lip, "He didn't tell us why, and I will not pry it out of you. I just want you to know that the school does have a policy that allows the school to take custody if need be."
Amajiki doesn't look up, "Tamaki, I trust your judgment. You're one of my finest students. But it is my job to protect you. I am going to give you mine and Aizawas phone number. If you ever need absolutely anything, you call one of us or Izuku."
The boy stands up, hesitantly grabbing the sticky note from his teacher and putting it in his pocket, "You can leave now, but please know that you've got people looking out for you. Do not hesitate to call."
The boy leaves, rushing from the room and into the hallway. Yamada sighs and begins to pack his things. Foster homes can be very dangerous, though Izuku didn't seem to have a bad experience at this one. Apparently the parents had pretty strict rules, but what really concerned him was the number of children in the home. He was afraid that Tamaki wasn't receiving what he needed for his quirk or education, in addition to his mental state.
He checks his phone for any messages from Shota but found none. Ever since the night the social worker took Izuku things have been tense.
Hizashi walked into the apartment, shocked to find his husband at the table with tears streaking his cheeks. It took the man a minute to look up, "Why didn't you answer your phone?" He asked darkly.
Hizashi narrowed his eyes, "I was working, I didn't have time," he explained, not loving the accusatory tone of Aizawa.
The man stood, "It was a fucking emergency Zashi! I needed you here!!" He cried.
The blonde tried to quiet him down, the roles reversing for once. Aizawa shouted again, "It doesn't fucking matter, Hizashi! He's not fucking here!"
The mans eyes widened as he rushed into the apartment to check the bedrooms. Aizawa yelled at him from the kitchen, "What, you think I would lie about that?!"
Hizashi returned, fear filling his voice, "Where is he, Shota?"
"They fucking took him!" Aizawa spat, "The social worker came and told me that our licenses expired and he couldn't stay with us!"
"And you just let her take him?!"
"This wouldn't have been a problem if you had filled out your forms three weeks ago like I told you to!!"
Tears filled Hizashis eyes but he replaced his guilt with anger, "Fine! But I didnt let a random woman take our fucking son to god knows where!! I can't believe you didnt fucking put up a fight!"
The two continued their screams for hours until eventually Hizashi locked his husband out of their room. They didn't say a word to each other the next day, both of them sulking in their respective areas of the house.
When they picked up their son and returned home Hizashi promised that nothing like that would ever happen again. Izuku was almost too quick to forgive them, able to feel the tension between the two men. He explained how Amajiki made him feel better and he actually managed to have some fun. He knew his parents didn't do anything wrong, and he wouldn't imagine being angry with them for a little mistake.
He admitted that he was scared at first, but immediately calmed down at Amajikis comfort. They knew he was a good kid, but couldn't really imagine him having the confidence to take care of a kid. Though Izuku wasn't really a kid anymore.
They all slept in the men's bedroom that night and dropped the kid off for school together. Aizawa apologized for his words and Yamada did the same, but that didn't exactly mend the fight. All they knew was that they were just happy to be together again.

"I heard you're signed up to take the UA entrance exam, Midoriya."
Izuku glares at him from his desk, his two bullies backing him into a tree, "So what?"
"So you don't really think a fucking quirkless loser like you will get in? No wonder your mommy left you, pathetic bastard!" He laughs.
The first rule his dad gave him when defending himself was this, "Try to talk your way out of it."
Izukus nostrils flare, "Just because you two are morons with oatmeal for brains and can't get into UA doesn't mean you get to say I won't."
The bully takes a step closer trying to intimidate him with their height difference, "I can do whatever the fuck I want."
The boy moves to push him and Izuku ducks to the side ripping his wrist over his shoulder and lowering his body to flip the boy over. He can hear him land with a hard thud against the tree.
The other boy starts to cuss and helps his friend up before scurrying away. Izuku sees his friend storm towards him, "Did you see that, Kacchan?! I used one of my dads moves!"
Bakugo stops in front of him, "It's not too late for me to go and kill them," he grumbles. Though he'd never admit it, he was extremely proud.
"I don't think you can get into UA with a murder charge."
"Fuck off, Deku!"
"Never, Kacchan!"
They walk to the front of the school where the two UA students wait to walk them home. The entire way Izuku beams about how he kicked those boys asses though Mirio suggests it might be best to keep it from his dads.
Before the entrance exam a month later, Aizawa tells the boy that he shouldn't tell the other students his parents were teachers. He didn't want the other students to treat his son differently, though turns out he had nothing to worry about.
Izuku meets some cool students including Uraraka and Kaminari. He worries he didn't take down enough of the robots, having only gotten nine. He couldn't use his quirk like the others, so he had to spend a lot of time climbing so he could attack from above before slicing their wires with a sharp piece of metal from destroyed buildings.
For the next three weeks all he did was beg his dads to tell him if he got in, but truth be told- the teachers had no idea. Even if they did know they wouldn't tell him of course, but that meant they were anxious for the results as well.
But UA wasn't the only thing causing them stress. A couple of weeks before schools let out for break, Hizashi and Shota left the apartment for Hosu, the agreed upon location to meet with Inko Midoriya.
