DSERIES 1: Fathomless Desire [COMPLETED]

| Chapter 2

Lollygagging is over and business life is back, but with a sluggish eyes, I stared at the papers in front of me. As usual, I have a massive amount of articles and documents that still have to be acknowledged and signed, but ever since that evening when I met her and had an unfathomable sensation, my mental faculties have been drifting. 

Nakakahindik. However, I need to get back in shape to be the normal Luxcian Cy Evanovitch, the chief executive officer that is responsible in his words as always. But I've been off for a week!

I truly couldn't just tear down every aspect of these incomprehensible echoes of emotion inside my head, yet having this sensation is unlikely to help me in any way and would just bring about mayhem. So suit up, Lux and grab your senses back. 

Fudge, I must become the man I have always been. A man encapsulated in a single phrase—responsible. I thus must take action and be a man who has gotten his life back on track, so no excuses. 

I flicked through the paper and nothing was new. 

Those papers are under my obligation of my approval and some papers needed some changes since my Dad's businesses were continuously expanding and mine as well. Things were all good, from the Evanovitch Empire to Evanovitch Condominium and Chain. But just to make it clear, it was my Dad's property while the Deluxe Residential Building was in my possession just like what I have mentioned. I built it back when I was eighteen.

Just, out of boredom.

And speaking of boredom, what an entire night and week—too long, yet it was still lingering here. Literally, this was an emotion that I was unable to shake away. However, because I was unable to see her following our encounter, I feel as though my world has become monotonous once more.

I have no right to see her too because doing so would be against our rules and would incite a huge argument between my friend and what I've got. Hindi ko rin naman ugaling manungkit ng babae ng kaibigan ko, kaya nga naiinis ako. Sa dami-daming babae sa mundo, bakit siya pa?!

What a misery to have such an out of touch emotion, yet I was able to sense it through each and every veins of my entire being.

And since it continually rears its head on me of what I cannot have, this unidentified sensation may be quite overwhelming. A special fusion of adoration, desire, and unachievability permeates it. 

Ilang pagkatok ang pag-ahon sa akin mula sa kalaliman ng aking pagninilay. "Come in," I said without looking at the door. Too preoccupied of confusion and plethora of 'what if' to pay attention upwards. As per usual. Nasanay na nga rin siya.

"Sir, I already sent an email to CEO. Fairemoure's secretary but they refused our request of partnership. Ayaw talaga nilang makipag-asusasyon sa mga chains natin, Sir." My eyes squinted at his report bago nagpakawala ng mabigat na paghinga. 

I don't get why Zeffero kept on refusing my request for partnership. He didn't just turn down our request but our friend's request as well. None of us he hired as a stockholder or business partner after what happened with Caevan.
