DSERIES 1: Fathomless Desire [COMPLETED]

| Chapter 12

I was tired and breathless when I landed after my two-day flight. Hindi naman bago, pero ito ang pinaka-hectic sa lahat. Pampalubag na rin ng loob bago ako lumisan kung sakali man. I stretched out my arms before continuing to walk. Cursed back pain... What a misery. 

Taking a step back to the place that I was longing. I was halfway there when I saw the only man I loved the most. With his signature warm ambiance, he came to me with a smile before hugging me tightly. "Miss me, love?" I teased him with a smile.

Ngumiti lang siya at tumango, agad kong inilapat ang labi ko sa kaniya na siyang ikinasupil ng ngiti sa kaniyang labi. "I missed you so much, love."

Lux usually picks me up from the airline and he is now my live-in partner. I haven't heard anything else from my co-workers. Perhaps they are afraid of being kicked out of the airline, pero kung tutuusin wala naman silang karapatan para makisawsaw sa buhay namin, kaya nga mabuti na rin na wala akong naririnig sa kanila. 

Nadala na ako sa mga mapanghusga nilang pagtingin noon matapos 'yong eksena ni Beatrix.

And if you're wondering where's my boss, well... Calleb was out of the country.

I would like to devote almost every minute of my time to change into a housewife and, in the near future, a hands-on mother to our children. I was after to be there for him and serve him in the same manner that he treated me, therefore resignation was my choice of action.

He never asked me to, but that's what I want.

Actually, it was... 'was'.

I am nearing the end of living out my own goal, that's why I am opening an entirely novel door where my partner was currently located. 

Not to mention that I have already been to more than half of the points of interest I wanted to get around kaya walang pagdadalawang isip kong ibibitaw ang meron ako. Although Tito Clemens advised me to give it some thought first, I was convinced I would quit the airline. Yet, I may take an indefinite leave of absence whenever I wish, they added, that's why I made some consideration. Lux also encouraged me to continue doing what I love.

Ayaw niyang talikuran ko ang bagay na ginagawa ko para sa kaniya, kahit pa personal ko namang desisyon na lisanin iyon ay natatakot pa rin siya at sinisisi ang sarili na baka isa siya sa dahilan kaya hindi ko na lang din ipinilit pa.

"I will never force you to go regardless of whether you feel you owe me anything, like you have responsibilities, or because I asked you to... But rest assured that I will never do that. I don't want you to leave like way. If that's where your happiness lies, stay there. Nauunawaan ko naman po." His fingers brushed lightly against mine, and I found myself staring at him. 

We are now discussing my plan of resigning, which has completely altered the buoyant conditions we had a while back. I bit my lip as I witnessed his sincere and serious eye movement. Things turned into a heart-to-heart discussion.
