Jungwon woke up first.

Everything was still in the hotel room, except for Jay's chest slowly going up and down.

Jungwon turned his head to check Jay's face. Sadly, only disappointed met him.

When will I finally see him sleeping with his eyes opened again?

Jungwon turned back and looked at the ceiling for a few seconds before closing his eyes again.
He knew Jay wouldn't be up anytime soon, so he wanted to sleep a little more.

However, something on his mind wouldn't let him rest. All went so fast these last few months. Now that he had time to stop and think, it all came rushing back.

He could clearly remember waking up one morning in the dorm, walking to the kitchen and interrupting a conversation among all the members.

"What's going on?" he asked, surprised by the sight.

Heeseung elbowed Jay, who finally walked up to Jungwon.
"Let's talk" he said, gently taking Jungwon with him.

They were in the garden, sitting on the swings Sunoo had begged for so long that Jay had eventually decided to install.

"As you know, our contract is soon coming to an end" started Jay.
"Trust me I know" replied Jungwon, concerned.
"The boys and I were talking. We want to sign it again, but there's something we all want to do before doing it" explained Jay. "It would imply a short hiatus between contracts."
"I don't get i-" started Jungwon, stopping as Jay stood up.

He left his swing, walked in front of Jungwon and kneeled.

"Won, I have no ring, but I do have all my love to give you. I spent the best years of my life by your side, and and I want to make sure it will continue forever" he said, taking Jungwon's hands in his. "Will you"
"Don't say it" said Jungwon, getting up.

Jay frowned and looked down. He was about to release Jungwon's hands when the latter pulled him up.

"Come with me" asked Jungwon.

Puzzled, Jay followed Jungwon back to the dorm, walked down the hallway and entered the leader's room.

Jungwon let go of Jay's hand and opened a drawer. After a minute, he came back to Jay.
"I kept these" said Jungwon, opening his hand to reveal two identical rings. They were simple silver rings, with a lign in the middle.

"I know we agreed not to wear them again after the fuss on social media, but it was years ago. I think it would be" said Jungwon.
"Perfect" said Jay, smiling widely. "Can't believe you kept them all this time."
"Of course I did" replied Jungwon.

Jay took the rings in his hand, admiring them for a second.
"Where was I again?" he suddenly said. "Oh right!"

For the second time that morning, Jay kneeled in front of Jungwon. He was holding Jungwon's ring in front of him.

"Yang Jungwon, I said it a long time ago, and I'm still fully convinced that you are my lifeline. I can't imagine spending one day without you. Will you marry me?" asked Jay, his eyes sparkling with love.
"I will" replied Jungwon in a smile, before kneeling too.
Jay passed the ring on Jungwon's finger and hugged him.

Jay turned himself in bed, bringing Jungwon back from the memory.
"Jay?" he whispered, but he only received a growl as answer.
Jungwon smiled. Jay looked like a bear, growling like that.
More like a teddy bear.

Jungwon felt an intense need to spoon Jay. He slowly passed his right arm under his pillow and hugged him with the left. Jay grabbed Jungwon's arms and returned to sleep.
Jungwon kissed Jay's cheek and closed his eyes again.

However being literally so close to Jay brought up another kind of memory.
After their wedding, Jay had taken Jungwon to his favorite hotel, treating him with the best room they had.

They had enjoyed a gourmet meal together, spent the evening walking along the river, and once back in their room shared a bath in the giant bathtub.

They were rarely one hundred percent alone, and they meant to enjoy their wedding night the most they could. Jay had opened a bottle of the sweet bubbly wine Jungwon liked, and they had drank their first glass in the bath.

"Do you think it'll feel different tonight?" asked Jungwon, as he dried Jay's back with a soft towel.

Jay turned back to face Jungwon. The light blush on his cheeks confirmed what he was talking about.

"I don't know yet" he replied, starting what would become the longest series of kisses they ever had.
It didn't take long for them to reach bed and they were already naked after the bath so-

"You're up?" asked Jay.
"I am" replied Jungwon, kinda frustrated Jay had interrupted his thoughts just before the cool part.

Jay turned around to face Jungwon.
"Good morning mister Park" he said smiling.
"Wait, am I mister Park or are you mister Yang now?" replied Jungwon, laughing.
"We'll have time to figure it out before they let us officially get married" said Jay.
"I don't care if it wasn't an official wedding" said Jungwon. "It's real for us."

Jay leaned in and kissed Jungwon.
"So have you been awake for a long time?" asked Jay.
"A bit, yes" replied Jungwon. "But I kept busy thinking about how you proposed... and what happened last night."
"Oh nice" said Jay, gently putting Jungwon's hair behind his ear.
"But you woke up and interrupted me right before the best part" admitted Jungwon.
"Oh really?" asked Jay.

He got closer to Jungwon, passing his hand on his neck and passionately kissing him.

"Well, I guess I should make it up to you then" he whispered, before grabbing Jungwon's waist and pull him against his body.
