Hi everyone, sorry I'm late!!! I was at Kpopflex to see our boys! (Yes, I'm still crying)
Anyway, I'm back for the fics now✨✨

Btw, I started the Hogwarts one!! It's called Wingardium Jaywonsa (yes I love bad puns), you can find it on my bio if you want to check it out!

"Can we order pizza?" asked Seonwoo.
"Oh, pizza!" commented Sunghoon in the back of the room.

The latter had been fully focused on his computer for the whole day until Seonwoo had said the Italian magic word.

"Jay?" asked Seonwoo.

Their boss was sitting on the sofa, apparently not bothered enough to listen.
Seonwoo got up, kind of worried. His boss didn't usually behave like that, especially not when it was about food.

"Jay?" repeated Seonwoo, slowly patting Jay's shoulder.

Now, that wasn't something a lot of people were allowed to do, but Jay had accepted his two advisors as friends a long time ago. That meant they could do things like pat his shoulder or touch his cheek.

"Hum?" mumbled the latter, finally popping out of his daydreaming.
"You want some pizza?" asked Seonwoo again, fighting his urge to ask Jay what he was thinking about.
"Sure. I want pineapple on mine please" replied Jay, in a weird voice, as if he was still into his world.
"What were you thinking about?" asked Sunghoon.

The room went silent for a second. While Jay tried to decide wether or not he should share his thoughts, Seonwoo screamed in his mind, thankful for Sunghoon's question. They did bicker a lot, but they had grown to become best friends and could often read each other's mind like that.

"I'm worried about the robbery" admitted Jay in a whisper.

"Okay, let me just order pizza and then we'll talk" said Seonwoo.

He wanted to be there for Jay, but he couldn't just ignore their biological need for food right now. Thankfully, he knew the food app by heart and it only took a few seconds to order their pizzas.

He put his phone down and sat next to his boss. A quick glance at the desk confirmed that Sunghoon wasn't working anymore and had his eyes on Jay.

"So what's going on?" asked Seonwoo.

Truth was, he and Sunghoon had spent the entire evening talking about Jay and this Jungwon guy. They had accompanied him to Jay's office and a few minutes later the two of them had left the place. Unusual right?

That's right, they had imagined a thousand possible scenarios about the why and how.

"I'm just worried about the robbery" repeated Jay, clearly upset.
"That we know" said Seonwoo gently.
"It's the biggest case we've had to work on, but I'm sure everything will go fine" added Sunghoon.
"Jungwon won't be caught" commented Seonwoo.

At the mention of the thief's name, Jay flinched.

"And if he's caught they won't be able to trace him to us. We'll find someone else" said Sunghoon. "He was on the top of my list but I still have a certain Taehyun, a Lee Know and a Jungkook."
"Lee Know? What name is this?" commented Seonwoo.
"Stage name, but not the time" replied Sunghoon.

Jay was still in his thoughts for a few seconds.

"How can you say that?" asked Jay..
"Say what?" asked Seonwoo, truly confused.
"We'll find someone else" repeated Jay, imitating Sunghoon. "They are people Sunghoon. We can't dispose of them like that."

Seonwoo and Sunghoon shared an extremely shocked eye contact.

"Uh, Jay?" started Sunghoon. "We've being doing that for years. People we hire know exactly what waits for them if they don't succeed."
"I know, but" replied Jay.
"You have even killed traitors yourself" added Seonwoo.

"I KNOW" shouted Jay out of the sudden.

The two advisors closed their mouths. If Jay had screamed, it meant they had crossed a line.

"Is this really about the people we hire?" asked Seonwoo.

Jay looked at him for a few seconds. He then got up and left them in the room as their pizzas arrived. Jay didn't even look at them, he couldn't eat right now anyway. He needed some alone time, right now.

He caught himself unconsciously running until the garage. He locked himself up in his car before allowing himself to catch his breath again.

"Is this really about the people we hire?" asked Seonwoo.

The question resonated in Jay's mind in an infinite loop. He had never been bothered with violence before.
One does not become a mafia boss by sharing candy with everyone.
No, he had literally had to fight for his position.

He had tortured, kidnapped and killed.

And everyone that had worked for him knew the risks. Evidently, successful partners had been graciously rewarded.

So why was he so bothered this time?

Why hadn't he been able to fall sleep the night before?

Why wasn't he able to actually eat anything, even though he was hungry?

The tornado of thoughts was bringing Jay further and further each second that passed by, bringing always more questions, but never offering any answers.

That kept going on until he received a text on one of his disposable phones. Instantly, his heart skipped a beat, it was the phone Jungwon had to contact in case of emergency.

Jay picked up his voice modifier on his throat and answered. He heard a troubled breath and next thing he knew, the call had ended.

Jungwon?

Jay didn't even think about it twice. He turned on his car and drove away.
