"Want a ride?" asked Jay, a sincere smile on his face.
"I do" said Jungwon, smiling too.

Nothing about this car ride was comfortable to Jungwon.

Firstly, there was the underlying shame of Jay having witnessed his father shouting at him.
Then, there was the embarrassment of having to be saved by another alpha.
Plus, even though Jay had indeed saved him, that didn't change the fact that for years he had bullied him.

Speaking of the most handsome devil that ever walked on Earth, Jay was looking peaceful and satisfied.

Jungwon couldn't help but feeling like he had become indebted to Jay for life.

Would it be that bad?
Between my father and Jay, the choice is kind of obvi-

"I'm so happy right now" said Jay, engaging the car in a huge lane.

That's when it hit Jungwon.

"Thank you so much for stepping in" he said as fast as he could, embarrassed for not having thanked his savior before.
"Don't mention it" replied Jay seriously.

"I wanted to do that for years" he added after a few seconds.
"What do you mean?" asked Jungwon, perplexed.
"Well, I've always known that your father behaved extremely bad" replied Jay. "No. Let's use the right terms. He's a useless piece of shit. He is an alpha, and he couldn't get over the fact that you are an omega. That's so cringe."

Jungwon's jaw dropped pretty low.

"Let me get that for ya" said Jay, chuckling.

His right hand left the gear lever and quickly moved upwards. As soon as it touched Jungwon's chin, he felt a wildfire spreading through him.
Jay gently pressed the chin up, delicately closing Jungwon's mouth.

"By the way, I'm sorry for how I treated you at school this whole time" said Jay. "I didn't want to, but it was the best way."
"The best way?" asked Jungwon, feeling dumb and lost.
"Well, let's say the least worst way?" replied Jay.

Jungwon was extremely confused. Jay seemed to notice though.

"Let me explain" he started. "Since we got our roles, I knew you would be an "easy" prey for dumb alphas. Cause even though some are smart enough not to let their status get to their heads, a lot of alphas are hormonal crazy and think omegas belong to them."

Jungwon nodded, he had seen that countless times.

"But I didn't want anyone to hurt you" Jay added.  "So I acted like a jerk towards you and made myself the "strongest" alpha of the school so that no one would dare touch you."

Jungwon's brain tried really hard to process everything. Now that he came to think about it, Jay had never given him direct orders. He had always used questions, which meant Jungwon could refuse. Jay had always teased him, yet had never physically done anything to him.

The thing that struck him the most is that even though Jay had made fun of him countless times, not once had the alpha allowed anyone else to say anything about Jungwon.

Not once had anyone else in school misbehaved towards Jungwon.

"So.. I guess I'm trying to say is... I'm sorry" said Jay, more softly. "I hope you can forgive me."

Jungwon's heart just stopped.

Did an alpha just apologize to me? A useless omega?

He couldn't help it, even though he tried fighting it. Hopefully the tear rolled down his right eye, so Jay might not see it.
