"That was a bit too intense I think."
"Oh sorry.. I'll do better."
"So hum" said Jay, trying to get over what he had just said. "How long 'til we are in Daegu?"
"We're pretty close actually" answered Jungwon, as if nothing had happened. "I think we'll be there in about 20 minutes."Jay nodded. He knew he had overshared before and wanted to make sure not to say too much from now on.
"By the way, where should I drop you off?" asked Jungwon, looking at his passenger.
"To be honest, I don't even know" said Jay, checking the time on his phone. "It's getting late, I guess I'll be sleeping in Daegu and continuing my trip tomorrow."
"That'd be wiser" confirmed Jungwon. "I assume you didn't check possible place to spend the night?"
"Nope" said Jay, starting to freak out. "I usually organize everything perfectly, but I thought it'd be more realistic not to, considering the nature of my trip."Jungwon nodded.
"But I'm starting to regret it" said Jay.
"Look, I'm checked in a hostel, maybe they do have place for you as well?" suggested Jungwon.
"Sounds good" said Jay.Jungwon smiled at Jay. They had reached the entrance of Daegu, and the gps indicated that the hostel was a couple minutes away.
The last minutes of the trip were spent in silence. Jay and Jungwon were thinking really hard about what to say next. Each wanting to continue discovering each other, but not wanting to go too far.
"I think it's this building" said Jungwon, pointing his finger to a huge yet modern building.
"Wow" whispered Jay, feeling a pinch in his heart. "I'm not sure I have the budget for this, though."
"Let's just go inside and see" said Jungwon, already thinking about offering Jay his stay."Alright! I think I'm ready!" said the dungeon master.
"Awesome" said Jungwon. "We start at the hostel, right?"
"Yeah, why?" asked Beomgyu.
"Our characters are almost there" explained Jay. "We decided to do a prequel as you were finishing writing the scenario."
"Good enough" said Beomgyu, nodding.Jay smiled uncontrollably, he was extremely excited.
His first dnd game **!It had been a few weeks since Jungwon's first game with Beomgyu, and they had continued playing as often as they could. Each time, Jungwon came back home with a big smile on his face, explaining the story to Jay, telling him about his character's achievements and losses, admiring his brand new set of dice!
Naturally, it had caught Jay's interest and the later had been wanting to participate as well. Beomgyu had instantly accepted. He had decided to write a whole new campaign for the two of them, and had just finished writing it, while the two players created their own characters.
Fortunately for Jay, Jungwon and him had finished before Beomgyu, so they had started the game without him.
Creating a little background for one's character never hurt anyone right?"So Jay, remember what I explained about the dice?" asked the dungeon master.
"Yes!" confirmed Jay. "And Jungwon also explained twice, so I think I'm set."
"You're welcome" replied Jungwon, sending a multitude of heart eyes towards Jay.Beomgyu looked at them respectively, kind of annoyed.
"Remember, I'm not here to third wheel you guys. I'm here to be the dungeon master" said Beomgyu. "I'm just saying, cause last time we tried playing with the boys, Soobin and Yeonjun made it unbearable and I don't want to go through that again."
"Don't worry" said Jungwon. "We won't do anything weird."
