"Wonie, it's time to wake up"

The sweet and gentle voice flew over Jungwon's head, and even though it was nice, the leader didn't want to follow it.

He wanted to wait for his alarm clock to go off so that he could wake the members up. If he got up earlier, he would have to wait alone.

"Then they say I'm the difficult to wake up one" added the voice.

Jungwon recognized the chuckles that followed.

Jay? That's impossible.

Just to make sure, Jungwon opened an eye. There he was. Jay was standing over him, a hand on his shoulder.

"Good morning Wonie" greeted Jay with his iconic side smile.
"Good morning Jay" replied the leader, his voice still showing signs of sleepiness.

Something was off.

"How come you're up before me?" asked Jungwon, tilting his head and making his hair slide on his forehead a bit.
"Well, I wanted to let you sleep a little longer, so I got up early and already woke everyone up" explained Jay. "And I have another surprise too, but you'll see later."

Jungwon sat up, slowly processing the information.

"Thank you, that is so sweet of you" he said, grateful.
"You're very welcome Wonie!" replied Jay. "Breakfast is ready, by the way."

Jay quickly swept his fingers across Jungwon's cheek and headed for the door. The leader froze for two seconds before jumping on his feet. If Jay had prepared breakfast, he should hurry.

Jungwon pulled the kitchen door, only to find all his members around the table. As soon as he stepped inside the room, they got up and started singing.

"Happy birthday to you"

Jungwon's boba eyes widened.

Wait, is it today? Are we the 9th?
How could I forget?

He nonetheless smiled and walked closer to them. Having his family celebrating him did feel really good.

"And now breakfast" announced Jay after the song.

They were all sitting and chatting while Jay brought the food. He had cooked several dishes, but Jungwon's favorite was his kimchi jeon.

Jay always made it for him, and it tasted better than his mother's one (however he wouldn't admit it to her).

They were almost done eating when Jay took out his phone and frowned slightly, as he did when he had to read something.

"Okay, so" he started, gathering attention from the members. "The schedule for today is quite busy."

Jungwon was surprised. He was the one who usually read the schedule. However, it did feel nice having someone else on duty for a change. He didn't have to take charge, just listen.

"Any questions?" asked Jay when he was done, raising one eyebrow.
"Can't we do the vlive with Jungwon?" asked Niki.
"Yeah, I'll see what I can do for that okay?" replied Jay, nodding.

He waited a bit, but as no one added anything, he asked them to get dressed. They had a dance practice starting soon.

They all stood up and headed for their bedrooms, except for the leader. The latter walked up to Jay.

"How was I?" he asked, his smile back on his beautiful lips.

Jungwon chuckled.

"Perfect" replied Jungwon. "I don't even know why you did it, but it felt really nice, thank you."
"Well, it's your birthday" said Jay. "I've been thinking about a good gift for weeks now. And last week I finally found something perfect."
