"Good morning Sella!"
You cheered as you opened the curtains in your sister's room. She giggled and turned around to face you and the sunshine outside.
"Good morning."
You turned to her and smiled, knowing it was going to be another hard day for you and your sister. Ever since Lamon died, you and your sister fell into his debt and now it was your responsibility to give the debt back. In hopes of returning the debt, you and your sister opened a flower shop. And it was only your guys' job to care for it. You joyfully skipped downstairs to get breakfast ready for your sister. A couple minutes later, your sister came downstairs and ate her breakfast.
"Mhm! This food tastes so good! Y/N! You're an amazing cook!"
You tried a bit of the oatmeal you made and cringed.
"It's average. Mom used to make much better oatmeal."
Your sister swayed her head.
"Unlike me, you have at least some bit of talent for cooking."
You shrugged and continued eating silently. Once you were done, you washed the dishes and head outside to open the flower shop. You stood there for about half of the day, receiving only 15 silver coins. People went by and some bought your flowers and others didn't. Normal day. All until somewhere at noon, some suspicious looking guys walked up to you two.
"Hey! Lady! Remember the debt you owe us? Well. We came here to pick up the money you owe us."
Your sister turned their way and nervously swayed her head.
"N - no. Sorry. We still don't have any money. Please, give us another month! We'll pay it off, I promise you!"
But the men didn't listen to her. They took her by the collar and picked her up in the air.
"Really? Well, we're tired of hearing that over and over. So, why don't you just pay up right now. Or -"
The man paused in his words, looking at the blue ring on Sella's finger.
"No! She'll never give it to you! Leave her alone!"
You yelled those words out and jumped on one of the guys trying to pry their hands away from Sella but failing because they are much stronger. You fell to the ground in pain, not being able to do anything. The only thing you could do was watch. But luckily, a man appeared and fought the debt collectors away from you and Sella. He turned around, smiling at you two with his bare strength as he collapsed to the ground. You and Sella ran up to him and got him in your house to rest. You brought ice cold water and a wet towel with it as a medicine. The man laid lifelessly on the bed in Sella's room as you put the towel on his forehead. He muffled something out loud and turned to the side. Sella motioned you to leave and get some food and water for him just in case. And so, you did. You ran out of the room, picking up some fruit and bread with a glass of water on the way back. Walking back in the room, you set the food and water on the table for the mysterious man. The man sat up and took the glass of water, deeply sighing after.
