Once you got ready for the day, you saw Lalita in the kitchen and asked her.

"Lalita, what are you doing here?"

She smiled jokingly.

"What do you mean?"

You face-palmed. It was too early for you to deal with this in the morning.

"Didn't you say that you were going to visit your new husband or something?"

She swayed her head with a smile.

"No. I declined his proposal."

You didn't know if you should be happy or not for her. After all, you wished that your problem with Diego could be solved just as quickly with a simple sentence like hers. The same morning, you, Lalita, and Maria were peeling potatoes on the porch while talking to each other. Or more like Lalita and Maria talking to each other.

"Thank you, girls, for helping me."

Maria thanked the two of you and you just hummed in response while Lalita started talking to her again.

"Of course. We have plenty of time."

Lalita answered for you. Maria lifted her gaze from the potatoes she was peeling and stared at Diego who was hanging on a hammock in the yard and doing nothing.

"You're at least using your time with purpose."

The next thing Lalita said completely shocked you.

"Lately, I've started liking Diego's behavior a lot."

Both you and Maria looked at each other from the sides and gaped your mouths open a little bit. Lalita freaking hated Diego. What's wrong with her? Was it the fact that she rejected her new husband and wanted to get back with Diego or something? You honestly never even knew if they dated each other at all. You never asked whether it was when they were kids or their current age.

"During these hard times, when only Zorro can protect us from the military, I find it relieving to see relaxed people that can enjoy life at such times."

The two of you agreed and put the peeled potatoes into the bowl next to Maria's feet. Suddenly, it started raining hard, so the three of you started gathering your things to head inside from the porch and Diego clumsily made his way over inside as well. It rained for the rest of the day, so none of you were able to do the laundry or outside-related chores. All the things you did were inside. By the end of the day, you started noticing that the building was getting very quiet and lonely, all because Diego wasn't there. You went to bed feeling cold, drowsy from the rain, and lonely from knowing that Lalita might take Diego away from you. Or maybe she already did. The sheets felt cold as you gently drowned on the mattress and listened to the rain pounding on your window. You listened silently to the rain and suddenly got a thought. What if Lalita already dropped you for Diego? The two of them disappeared by evening time together. Could they be out somewhere on a date right now? Or Diego's staying at Lalita's house for the night. You felt left behind by now. Of course, the two of them would drop you for each other. Who are you for them anyway? Suddenly your body started moving on its own and you stood up and walked to Diego's room, down the hall. You opened the door to see a dark and lonely room that belonged to your crush, Diego. You closed the door behind you quietly and climbed under the blankets of his bed and before you knew it, you fell asleep in his bed. Suddenly, the night didn't seem as lonely to you anymore.

                                                        *Time Skip*

You woke up to a noise by the window and got a little scared at first. It sounded like a person shuffling in their clothes by the window to Diego's room. You decided not to move but then your curiosity got the best of you. You quietly got up, grabbed a sabre from one of Diego's secret shelf compartments you found earlier as you fell asleep, and pointed it in front of you. You moved the curtains quickly from the window and saw Little Zorro awkwardly jumping back.
