—∗✩) ☘︎ (✩∗—Thirsty Thursday, an already popular night amongst the students, was packed at the Iguana Cantina. Hybrids of all types filled the bar from wall to wall. Even a large number of the Greeks were out. Their letterman jackets and organization colors could be seen at every turn, including Sigma Phi Delta, the fraternity Jungkook was a member of.
A member of said fraternity gave Dahlia a lingering look of appreciation. Because he was kind of cute, she gave him a smile back as she passed by on her way to meet up with Savannah and Morgan. The trio shared hugs and their usual flood of compliments, then they linked arms while they decided on the first thing of the night's agenda.
"Are you guys hungry?" Morgan asked. "How's the food here?"
"It's pretty good but I can't eat in this top," Dahlia said. "My stomach actually looks flat for once."
"Shut up and eat," Savannah laughed. "You look sexy."
Dahlia batted her eyelashes. "Thanks. Wanna go dance first?"
"I can't dance without at least one drink in me," Savannah said.
"Ok. Drink, dance, food, in that order," Morgan said.
With the plan agreed on, the girls headed for the bar. It was standing room only but the three of them didn't have much problem weaving through the crowd and getting the bartender's attention. Their collective sexiness also helped. One glance and the men around them were giving them space to move in exchange for a better look as they passed.
Her night hanging out with her roommate and his friends taught Dahlia that she liked tequila. She ordered a shot and clinked her glass with her girls before downing it in one gulp. The warmth of the alcohol made her cringe slightly but its effect was quick. By the time the group had finished socializing and migrated to the dance floor, she was already feeling less inhibited.
Iguana's DJ was already good but tonight, he made it impossible for anyone to resist the pull of the music. Song after song, he kept the energy high. Just when she was about to take a break, another banger came on, causing her and her girls to look at each other with wide grins and keep dancing.
Soon, a large frame pressed against Dahlia's back and strong arms wrapped around her shoulders. She knew that top tier hug anywhere. Laughing, she turned around to find Pup greeting her with his adorably wide smile. After giving him a proper hug, he held onto her hand as he fell into the rhythm with her.
Their dance didn't last long, however. Before the song had even finished, Pup was being pushed aside by Kit, wearing a comical frown as he moved his friend out of the way.
"Go somewhere!" Kit shouted over the music. "You always in her face! Damn!"
Laughing, Pup did as he was told, moving on to Savannah and pointing between them to ask if she wanted to dance. She smiled and nodded, moving closer and winding her hips to the music.
It was Kit's turn to move in for a hug. The music was loud but she could still hear his deep voice. "Damn you look sexy tonight," he said.
"And you smell great," Dahlia said, returning the compliment.
Few things were as attractive as someone wearing a good fragrance.
After seeing two out of three, Dahlia curiously looked for the missing party. She found her troubled roommate in the same area she always did when they happened to be there at the same time: by the pool tables with a beer in his hand.
