Dahlia took Bunny into her senses, and every thought she had before then had faded into irrelevance. He smelled good, the kind of good that made you stop everything you were doing and look at the person the fragrance came from in an entirely different light. The kind of good that made you want to hug them tight with the hopes that the embrace was just the beginning of something more. Her desire for more is why hugs from him were so dangerous, especially when her thoughts of what 'something more' meant were spiraling out of control.

The dream she had about him played in her mind like a movie. The look in his eyes as he gazed down at her, his hands pinning her wrists on either side of her head, his lips and tongue against her skin, moving so gently yet giving her so much pleasure. Everything felt so real. Every detail, from the tautness of his muscles when he undressed, to the deep timbre of his voice when he spoke, was just as clear in her memories as the night she dreamt it.

'Sunflower's been keeping secrets from me, huh.'

She had been keeping secrets from him: that she wanted him more than anyone else she'd ever been with. More than Dom, more than anyone in her past or present that she allowed to get even remotely close to her. She kept from him the fact that she wanted to experience firsthand the reasons why his reputation preceded him, and why women risked making fools of themselves to have him.

"You good?"

Pulled from her racing thoughts, Dahlia flinched and looked in his direction, not realizing how rounded her eyes were. "Yeah, I'm fine."

He watched her for a moment with his smile slowly growing. "You sure?"

"I'm sure," she said, forcing her expression to relax.

He didn't question her further as the traffic light turned green but the look on his face said he didn't believe her. Then again, Bunny looked at everyone like they were lying regardless of what they said.

"If you say so," he said. "You cool with coming back to my house? Grand-mère and my sister are there."

"I'd love to meet them," she nodded, smiling.

On the surface level of her thoughts, she was happy to meet some of his family. His grandmother was held the closest to his heart, and although he roasted Giselle every time he talked about her, Dahlia could tell that it was because he loved and was close to her too. The chance to meet them was an honor.

But beneath the superficial, where her darkest, most intimate thoughts lay, she knew it was better that they wouldn't be alone. Dom had said how he didn't trust himself around her because of how strong the temptation was, and now she understood how he felt. The longer she spent in Bunny's presence, the deeper her desires took root in places it shouldn't, and the more her inner vixen indulged on the forbidden fruit it bore.

What would it be like to kiss him? To touch him? To have him touch her? They'd come so close on several occasions and each time, she could see the longing in his eyes. She could feel it in the slight twitch of his fingers whenever they rested on her waist as he forced them not to explore her curves any further, because his hands were already in a place they shouldn't be.

Closing her eyes tightly, she pushed the budding fantasy about his hands away and made herself observe the surroundings as they passed. Even still, her body seemed to have its own agenda. It was in a latent state of arousal, hyper-aware and ready for whatever, if whatever happened.

Not that it was.

What was she thinking? Like Dom said, they'd just said 'I love you' the day before, and here she was having thoughts she shouldn't. Every path her mind traveled down eventually led back to Bunny.
