| masquerade - in which Jilaiya dons a black masquerade mask, granting a temporary attack, speed, and strength buff. these buffs only extend to him and not the rest of the party.
| god-killer - in which Jilaiya snaps, casting a protection-based spell not unlike the one he used when fighting Hercules; but better, since he's (kinda) sound of mind. the spell takes the form of thorny black shields, which circle the character's form at chest-height, as well as surround their wrists, ankles, and neck. this shield grants a 20% Elemental damage buff as well as raw damage, and is damn near indestructible.

| Jilaiya is rarely docile, known for being unnecessarily aggressive and, more importantly, incredibly violent. he has an odd habit of snapping at and being needlessly hostile towards others, even those he is close with; though his aggression is often a facade, considering he fought Hercules out of pure spite, challenging him is probably not a good idea.
speaking of which, Jilaiya is incredibly spiteful. tell him that he can't do something and he WILL do it, just to prove you wrong. there is literally nothing that can stop him from proving someone wrong, or completing a challenge - except maybe death. which has almost happened.
aside from those two...very distinct traits, he is shown to be rather introverted and easily overwhelmed, as seen when he was brought to a public mall for the first time - in which he got scared and hid in the corner for most of his time there. he has stated that he dislikes talking to others, or just talking in general.
