"I bet it was amazing. Was it amazing?"
She panted, laying on her stomach while he pulled out of her slowly. Ravenna whined at the empty feeling.
Then she felt his red, swollen lips on her body, he placed a kiss on her back. And her entire body became tense. And another. Then another...
He's kissing my scars.
And she laid there, wide eyed, hands by her head as he kissed her ever-so gently. She just laid there. Ravenna didn't know what to do. Her body wasn't sure how to react to the gentle gesture. It made her head spin and in one sense she wished he'd stop. In another sense, it was the most calming and meaningful thing anyone had ever done for her. It's funny how a few kisses could make her feel so many confusing feelings.
She was used to rough. She was used to mean, to cruel. She almost felt safe in the humanity of it.
That's the thing. People always describe those who do monstrous things as, inhumane. But in reality, our cruelty, our pride, our monstrous side is in fact what makes us human. Animals hunt to live, humans hunt for sport. Unfortunately, inflicting pain on others is the most human thing we could do.
Ravenna wasn't familiar with the kindness this type of intimacy brought. She had experienced it before, but only with him. He could be so relentless, but he always ended with unadulterated warmth.
But Ravenna was comfortable knowing that. Knowing that everyone had cruel intentions. It made it easier to not trust anyone. To expect evil from everyone. Expect disappointment and never be disappointed.
But Mattheo?
The way he treated her sometimes made her want to scream, to curse everyone and everything. Then other times he treated her compassionately, it made her suspicious but also felt so nice, so cared for. It was too confusing and she wished he'd pick a side. Cruel or kind, either is better than him switching sides every other day.
That's when he got up and walked into the bathroom.
She didn't know what to do, she didn't trust herself enough to walk, besides, her mind was numb from the sweet act. Maybe he would carry her back to her room? Then he picked her up, she didn't even notice him walk back into the room.
He carried her into the bathroom, into the bathtub where he proceeded just like last time. Her mind was still wondering, but she was more relaxed now. And he was so gentle with her. And just like last time he grabbed her face, rubbing under her eyes and face, as gentle as can be.
Just like last time, when it was over he dressed her and they got into bed. With his hand around her waist and his chest pushed up tightly against her head. And he fell asleep. Just like that. With the lost girl in his arms.
She fell asleep after half an hour of laying there, waking up at 4, she got out of bed, out of his arms. She walked to the door seeing a plush chair by the fire place, where her cat just happened to be laying, she picked her feline up walking to her best friend's door.
She knocked on his door after he opened it without a shirt on. He looked in recovery.
Thank Merlin.
"Want to watch the sunrise?" She smiled, he nodded softly.
Theodore didn't sleep a lot. He'd either stay up till 3 am, or awake at 3 am. So when Ravenna wanted to go watch the sun come above the horizon, he'd always be there if she needed the company. He understood how she didn't always like to be alone.
He grabbed a wool jumper and a blanket, as they began to walk to her spot. He looked down, noticing the black hoodie that she had on that did not belong to her. He smirked that the girl.
