"I could never hate you."
Over the next few days, Ravenna had been doing the same things: class, perhaps eat if she was feeling brave, enjoying time with Astra and Teddy, meeting with Dumbledore, fixing the cabinet with Mattheo, and planning for the wedding.
Not to mention recovery.
Yes, Ravenna was actually trying to get clean, to rid herself of the addiction that was self harm.
She had done it for years, years of cutting herself open with a little razor. She easily ruined herself every time she did it, each drop of blood pushed her deeper into the loud, chaotic space that was her head.
But this was hard. Easily the hardest thing she had ever done. And that was saying a lot, she had killed, torched, quite literally done unspeakable things.
She also never had a choice in those actions. She was always being controlled.
Now this was her choice. She was choosing to try and help herself. And well, recovery is a process.
A process that fucking sucks. Ravenna thought bitterly.
It was painful. Although there was no physical pain, she had no other forms of coping.
That wasn't to say she didn't try to find one. Ravenna went for walks, read books, hell, she even tried yoga. Which if you were wondering, was a shit show.
Bad idea, do not recommend it.
It's almost completely independent, truth is, Ravenna didn't want to bother Theodore with it, and she hadn't officially told anyone else. Ravenna was worried to plague others with her problems, when she knew they had other things going on.
She assumed Astra knew, because well, Astra knew everything. Draco might've known, but he was never someone she sought out advice from.
She was currently in her Defense Against the Dark Arts class, sitting with Mattheo next to her, listening to Severus teach a lesson that she had learned at a mere fifteen.
Ravenna didn't use her magic as much as she should, she came from two strong lines of pureblooded wizards, and her mother just so happened to be "one of the most powerful dark witches in our history".
At least that's what she read in an article about her mother.
It was quite odd, reading things about her mother in the papers, how they would speak of the "Terrible Bellatrix Lestrange" as deranged and dangerous. It might've been true, but she wasn't the only Lestrange woman who was slandered in the papers.
The Daily Prophet had an absolute field day when Ravenna came to Hogwarts, speaking of her as if she was worse than her mother.
