1977

The weekend passed by quickly, we received our timetables from professor Flitwick and catched up on all we did this summer, not that I had a lot to share. As I awoke on Monday morning I saw that Adeola and Zaina had already left the dormitory, thanks for waiting guys. I checked the time and realised I had overslept and my first class was starting in twenty minutes. I cursed under my breath, just my luck. After rushing to get ready I arrived at Potions out of breath and hungry. Luckily I had passed Marlene on the way here and she had given me a piece of toast with jam. I enter the classroom with Slughorn rushing me to take a seat. Seeing as everyone else was on time there was only one bench in the back vacant. I didn't mind sitting alone, I actually preferred it.

Potions was uneventful just as all the classes after it; it was not long before I was sitting next to Marlene having dinner. Marlene was telling me about her day but then she suddenly stopped talking which caused me to look up. She was distracted by something or should I say someone, she was making eyes at someone sitting at the gryffindor table. I followed her gaze, she was looking at Sirius Black and he was looking back at her. I gave her a shove:

'Marlene, that new person you have your eye on better not be Sirius Black.'

She kept her eyes on Sirius but said: 'So what if it's Sirius, he's proper fit.'

'Are you forgetting that he's a slag?'

'Who cares, so am I. This is my last school year and I don't want any stone to be left unturned.'

'Fine but no crying to me when he leaves you for someone else.'

'Crying, me? Don't you know me, I don't cry over boys. Besides, I'm the one who leaves, not the other way around.'

'Whatever you say, now stop making sexeyes at him, I'm trying to eat here.'

Marlene finally breaks eye contact with Sirius and eats her dinner.

When Marlene and I left the great hall we suddenly heard someone whistle at us. We both stopped walking and turned around. When I realised it was her toyboy I started walking again only to be pulled back by Marlene:

'Will you wait one second, I want to hear what he has to say.'

I sighed but nodded my head, encouraging her to go talk to him. She ran towards him and they started talking. I couldn't hear what they were saying, not that I really wanted to. Then Sirius gave her a kiss on the cheek and turned back to the great hall. With a big smile Marlene walked back to where I was waiting,

'He asked me to join him at the Hogsmeade Trip weekend next.'. We started to climb the stairs,

'You know you're such a dog, he whistles and you come running.' Marlene pushed me.

'At least I'm a dog with a date to Hogsmeade, who are you going with?'

'Who said I'm going to Hogsmeade, what if I run into you and Black?' I said while fake gagging.

Marlene laughed and said: 'Maybe it can be a double date, Sirius and I and you and Pettigrew. You would make a perfect pair, both obsessed with us.'

'I hate you'

'No you don't,' Marlene said while she put her arm around my shoulder.
