Chapter: 3 "The Surprise Party"

Viber alert!!! Group message from Ella. "Girls, I need your help!!!! Im at Starbucks near our school, I'll be waiting for you loves. Please?"

"Why?" Betina answered.
"What's going on, Ella?" I replied.
"I think she really needs us girls." " who needs a ride, I can drive?" Issa massaged.

"Im out, I'll follow." Betina said.
"Okay, Im in Issa. Give me 5 minutes to get ready."
"Okay, Patty! Be there in 5 minutes."

On the way to starbucks, The car was full of silence until Issa started to ask questions...about the other day that we've talked about... "Patty, can I ask you something, I hope you don't mind?"
"Yep? What is it?" I replied.
"About Polo, you haven't talked to him until now?"
We had a moment of silence...
"Well actually Issa, we had a chance to see each other when his cousin called up one of my classmates that was also close to him and askes him If he could gather all of Polo's close friends in school, the family is throwing a surprise party for him. So, eventually I was one of them and honestly when we are about to enter Polo's house I don't know what to feel, it seems like there are butterflies in my stomach. Until Viv, Polo's cousin approached me and hugged me telling me that Polo would be very happy to see you again. My heart skipped like "i die" for a second... So we have to wait for like 20 minutes to wait for him. Viv was giving instructions and told us to hide in one place. 10 minutes had passed, Viv received a call from their cousin (who is with Polo) and told her that in about 5 minutes will be arriving there. Viv directed us to hide now because he's alrady coming. So Viv reminded us of her que when to come out... And then we heard her shout for the que, everyone on the hide out screamed so loud to greet him "happy Birthday" and he was indeed surprised. I was there standing at the back don't know what to do because after like 2 years, he's in front of me... I just tried not to look straight on him until I got out from the hiding place...and eventually our eyes meet again, and he immediately approached me and hugged me so tight for about 3 minutes and I don't know what to do and say. "Happy birthday" is all that came out of my mouth, He looked at me and gave me a smack on the side of my lips... I was shaking... Like hello butterflies on my stomach, not now! And he let go of me and greeted his other friends... I walked towards the vacant chair and sat down and one of our common friend tapped me on my shoulder. Joseph, a common friend and my classmate knew what was going on with me even I haven't said anything to them.. As if he could read someones mind... I actually thought that it would be the start of our wonderful friendship again... But then, i saw him talking to someone over the phone and heard him say "babe"....hello!!!! Another slap on my face!!! All i want to do is go home. And that's it, for us. I guess.

"Whoa! That was really so sad!" Issa said in a soft tone.

"That's okay...oh! Where here!"

We both jump out of the car and as fast as we could, we went inside and looked for Ella. As we saw her we immediately approached her and in chorus asked her "what the hell happened to you?"

Ella laughting..."hold on! Relax! Have a sit you two. Let's wait for Betina, she just texted and told me she's near already."

We saw Betina went out a cab and walking as fast as she can towards our table.

"What did I miss?" Betina uttered.

In chorus... "nothing!"

She sat down beside me on my left since Ella is on my right side...

"Ella start. How can we help you?"

Okay. Here it goes......"Remember the guy that I was talking about the other day?" He texted me this morning. Just this morning. He blah blah blah....... Blah blah blah.... And then He finally asked me out. Now I haven't answered back yet. What should I do. He's my past. Should I accept him in my present or future? Help!"

In a minute of silence, I started to talk... "At this point. What do you actually feel towards him?" "Was it normal or was is something weird?"

"Something weird, I guess?!?" Ella answered.

"Do you have feelings for him?" "I mean do you still have feelings for him?" Issa questioned Ella.

Ella couldn't answer.

"Go ahead. Say yes. From there you would know if you still have feelings for him." Betina followed up.

"You think so?" Ella asked in confusion.

"That's the only way hunny! If you can't answer now, maybe after you go meet up with him, you'll know the answers." Issa replied.

"Stop being confused and text him and accept his invitation. Go! Maybe this is the guy that you've been praying for." "We support you with this, whatever the outcome would be."

Ella texted him and said yes to his invitation to go out.

"Hey, Ella you owe us a frap! Venti!"

Everyone chuckled...
