Chapter: 9 "Text Message"

Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!!!!!!

"Oh Monday! Why so fast?!!"

I woke up and walked towards the bathroom and took a bath.

"Mom, Im going to school now! Issa is already there. Bye!" As I said to her while yawning. "Okay sweetie! Don't sleep in class!" Mom uttered.

Walking towards Issa's car... I heard my phone beeped. So I immediately grabbed my phone from my bag and checked who just sent me a message.

Issa opened her car's window and shouted "hey Patty! Hurry up!"

"Okay okay! Im sorry! Geeeshhh!" I answered back.

As I entered Issa's car and sat down, I looked back on my phone and checked who just texted me. To my surprise, it was just a number. I opened the message and read "hi pretty! Good Morning! :)" the message says.. Thinking who sent me this message. I looked at Issa...."hey! What you looking at?" Issa shouted. "Nothing" I replied immediately.

I didn't reply and kept my phone back on my bag. There was a sudden silence so I started to talk....

"Hey, Issa! How was your weekend? Aside from us going a road trip???" I asked her.

"It was fine. I slept the whole day yesterday! And you?" She replied.

"It was fine too...actually tiring...cousins went over yesterday and Andrew treated us for some adventure, he just passed his licensure exams...He's now a lawyer." I replied.. I thought of not mentioning Vince to her yet.. Then I suddenly remembered Vince.. He might be the one who texted me..he asked for my number and He also called me pretty. Oh my!!!! He just texted me. I turned my heas facing the window to hide my blushing face to Issa.

"Hey, you okay?" Issa asked.

I composed myself and faced Issa and said "very much!" And smiled at her.

"Did you text him already?" She asked.

"Text who?" I replied.

"Duh! Polo!" She answered.

I stopped for awhile...oh! Wow! I totally forgot about Polo.

"No. Not yet! What am I supposed to say?" I uttered.

"What? You haven't texted him?!" Issa said in reply.

"I will. Maybe. At the right time." I answered.

Issa parked near the entrance door of the building and we both got out of the car at the same time.

"I hope it won't be too late again for you!" Issa uttered.

And I refused to answer anymore.

I admit, its not me if Im not day dreaming. This time it was me who caught myself day dreaming again... I was thinking about what happened yesterday......with Vince. My gosh! Why Am I thinking of him?!?

While walking by the corridor of the university, I grabbed my phone from my bag and read Vince message again...and again...and again... I don't know what to say. Haven't replied to his message yet...and I don't even know if I should text him back. As I entered the room for my last class of the day, "hey Patty, I guess its our free cut, you wanna go with me?" Issa asked me.
"Where?" I answered.
"Im going to the East Mall to meet up with Helena." Issa answered quickly.
"Oh! Its alright, go ahead." I replied.
"Okay then. I'll go now. You sure?" Issa uttered.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Waving her off.

Great! Im alone....Issa just left to see Helena, Ella was picked up by her boyfriend and Betina???? Where on earth is that girl?!? I dialed her number, on the third ring she answered "hey!". "What's up? Where are you?" I replied. "Yeah! Sorry wasn't able to tell you girls that I had to leave early today, my sister is coming home from Canada." Betina said. "I see. Please say Hi for me!" I replied. "Sure! I have to go now. Talk to you later." She answered and ended the call. So I guess it will just be me.

I walked to the nearest Starbucks and ordered my favorite frap and seated on a couch. I got my phone and opened Vince text message this morning and clicked the reply button and....wow! Great! I haven't typed anything yet and it's been like 5 minutes....what will I say?!?! Damn!!! So I gave myself another chance to think what to reply and when I was about to type the first word, the phone rang... Number... Oh my.... This might be Vince... Okay okay... Breath in breath out and answer the call... "Hello?" I said. "Hi! Pretty! Its Vince!" Vince uttered. I blushed and speechless for 5 seconds..."Hi Vince!" I replied. "How are you?" He ask. "Im great." I answered. And the conversation lasted for 5 minutes. "Vince, I have to go for now. Maybe we can talk some other day again?" I told him. "Yeah! Bye! Take Care, Patty!" He said. And both of us ended the call at the same time. After a few seconds, I found myself having a big smile on my face and blushing... I have to get going. I got a cab on my way home.
