Keeping up with my feelings

Chapter: 20 "Taking a break"

Its been a week since I've graduated from college and looking for a perfect timing to talk to my Mom and Brother regarding my plan of taking a break.

"Good Morning Mom!" I greeted her.

"Good Morning too!" Mom replied.

"By the way Patty, are you going somewhere today?" Mom added.

"No plans yet. Why?" I replied.

"Nothing. I was just wondering if you can accompany me to the grocery later?" Mom asked.

"Sure. What time are we going?" I answered and asked.

"This morning, maybe at 10 after breakfast." Mom uttered.

"Okay Mom!" I replied.

Maybe this is the time to tell her my plan. I hope she'll support me with this.

So I went up to my room again and took a bath and wear the most comfortable clothes.

"Breakfast is ready!!!" Mom shouted.

So I grabbed my bag and went out of the room. Aissa went down ahead of me and...i don't see Nico, maybe he slept on his unit.

So we ate pancakes and sausages, I took my time since Mom isn't in a hurry to go to the grocery...

"Patty, sweetie. I'll just take a quick shower and change then we'll go." Mom said.

"Okay Mom! I'll be waiting for you at the living room." I uttered

So I went and sat on the sofa by the livingroom and putted on my earphones and turned on my playlist on my iphone....i was listening to my slow jam playlist....i was so focused that I disn't noticed Nico entered the house and I freaked out when he kisses me on my cheeks...

"Gosh! Nico! What the hell?!?!" I shouted and jumped out of the sofa.

Nico laughed so hard that even Aissa begun to giggle as well.

"Love, shh... Relax... I love you!" Nico uttered and continued laughing.

I gave him an angry look...and went back to sit.

"Im sorry lovely!" He whisphered to me.

"Where you going?" He asked.

"Mom and I are going to the grocery. Im just waiting for her." I answered.

He sat beside me...

"Patty?" He said.

"Yes?" I replied.

"Nicollete and I are together now. She's my girlfriend." He uttered in a soft but happy voice.

I looked at him and smiled at him...i don't know what to say... So I just hugged him tight.

"Hey! You will always be my #1 favorite girl." He uttered.

"Brother!" I said softly and a tear fell from my eye to my cheek then hugged him again.

"Do you have plans this afternoon?" Nico asked.

"Why?" I replied.

"Nothing. Grey's Anatomy marathon at my unit? You can Invite Vince." He uttered.

"I would have to ask him first. But me, Im deffinately on!" I replied.

"Great!" He said.

"Hi! Mom!" Nico greeted and kissed Mom on her forehead.

"Hi Nico! Are you staying tonight?" Mom asked.

"Well Mom, Patty is coming over at my unit tonight to watch our favorite series." Nico replied.
