Keeping up with my feelings

Chapter: 11 "Mom's Promotion"

*ring-ring-ring*

"What's up?" I answered.

"Nothing much! Hey, my brother is going to use my car tomorrow so I guess we need to use yours instead...if that's okay?" Issa said.

"Oh! Uh, yeah sure!" I replied.

"That's all I need to say. I'll see you tomorrow then." She replied.

I putted down my phone and Mom called us for dinner. So I left my phone on the bedside table and went down ti the dining table.

"How's your day?" Mom asked.

No one's answering.
"Uh. Mom, who's that question for?" Nico asked. He's my eldest brother..

Mom laugh and said "for all of you."

"Mine's fine." I said immediately.

"Me too." Nico added.

"Me three!" Aissa uttered.

"Wow! That's great! Me, I have a good news to say... I got promoted! Im the new Executive Director of the company." Mom announced.

"Really! Yey! This calls for celebration." Nico said.

"Congratulations Mom! Wow! After 15 years of hard work." I said.

"This friday my co-office mates are coming to celebrate, so I want you to invite some of your closest friends over." Mom said.

"Alright Mom!" We said in unison.

Dinner's finished. One by one we went back to our own rooms.. As I enter my room I heard my phone beep. So I went near the bedside table to grab my phone and to my surprise, wow! 10 text messages... I opened the inbox... 1 text from Issa, 1 from Betina, 2 from Ella and the rest from a number.... Number? Oh! I forgot to save Vince's number and I bet this messages are from him... So I started to read and reply with the messages, I read his messages last.

His first text says:
"Hi Pretty! How are you?"
Second text:
"I hope you had a great day!"
Third text:
"Patty??"
Fourth text:
"I want to ask something.... Can we meet?"
Fifth text:
"Okay, Im sorry! Won't bother you anymore!"

Whoa! Wait, what was that he just asked???? No!!! Reading his text messages again until it sink in to me... He's asking me out!!!!!!!!!

I replied to him... "Hey, Vince. Sorry just now, left my phone on my room and we were having dinner."

When I was about to compose another message to him... My phone rang... It's him...
"Hello!" As I answered the call.

"Hi!" He answered in a low tone.

"Are you okay? Sorry I wasn't able to reply right away." I replied.

"It's okay. So, would it be okay if we meet up?" He asked.

"Im fine. But how, your from the south and Im here in the city?" I replied.

"Oh! No! I live here in the city also. I just go there during weekends. Part time job. My parents live there near the adventure place in the south. Actually, my Dad owns it." He answered.

"Really? Cool! So when are we meeting up and where?" I replied.

"On friday?" He asked.

"Ohhh... I can't.. How about Thursday? Since your at the south on weekends.." I replied.

"Sure. That would be fine. 5pm?" He uttered.

"5:30 pm?" I answered.

"Set!" He replied.
