Chapter 21 - Family Reunion

Toothless and Thunderhorn flew through the tunnels towards his and Luna's den within the wall of the Hidden World. Laying there peacefully asleep, Luna curled there on the den floor with her wings tucked over her face, quietly purring to herself.

"She looks comfortable." Thunderhorn chuckled quietly to his friend who walked over to his mate, nuzzling her face gently with his snout.

"Hey, someone's come to see ya..." Toothless whispered quietly to Luna who blinked her eyes open and yawned loudly. She had been asleep all morning since last night, deep in sleep for what felt like eternity to Toothless. Ever since her pregnancy Toothless has not spent so much time with her, due to her constant tiredness and lack of energy to go anywhere. The King didn't mind however, he wanted to make sure Luna was comfortable no matter where she was.

"Hi, Thunderhorn." Luna greeted with a smile and got up, walking over to her friend and bumped heads gently. "It's great to see you, how are you?"

"I'm perfectly fine, but what about you? How are you and the little ones?" Thunder asked with a smile, he was very happy for his friends and their new arrivals very soon. He had always told Luna she would be a fantastic mother because of her sweet interactions with the dragonets around her.

"They're healthy, I'm supposed to see Stormfly later today for a little checkup, but as of right now we both know they're happy and healthy, not too long to go." Luna smiled, sitting down with her tail curled to her feet. Toothless wandered over from where he stood to sit beside her.

"I heard you're brother is supposedly paying a visit today?" Thunder tilted his head, and chuckled when he saw Luna beam with excitement.

"Oh goodness! I totally forgot about that!" Luna gasped and stood up quickly. "Yes, my brother will be coming along to pay us a visit today, he wants to see this place for himself." She smiled proudly at her friend. "You two will get along swimmingly, neither of you have met him before?"

"As far as we know, no, we haven't." Toothless replied, a little concerned when she stood up too fast. "Easy, darling, you'll go toppling if you stand up too fast." Toothless chided gently.

"We should go and see if he's here yet, he told me he would arrive around noon." Luna gestured for them both to follow, leaping out of the den and taking flight through the chilly air. The sun was beaming bright but the air was nice and crisp, just how they liked it. Toothless followed close behind with Thunderhorn at his side, the both of them trailing after Luna who saw a swarm of dragons on the ground and spotted a familiar Lightfury amongst the crowd.

"There he is! He's here!" Luna roared with excitement and dove down towards the ground, landing on the floor and rushing over to her brother, "Astra! Astra over here!"

Astra was conversing with the dragons that swarmed him, but a familiar voice caught his attention. He spotted his sister running towards him from behind the crowd, his face lighting up and running straight for her, "Luna! Luna oh my goodness!!" The two of them excitedly head-butt each other and pranced around each other, wings flapping in exhilaration. From the side Toothless and Thunderhorn stood side by side, watching the siblings excitedly greeting each other.

"Astra, it's so good to see you! I'm so happy you're here finally!" Luna exclaimed and smiled at him, they were a spitting image of each other. Except her brother had bright green eyes. Male Lightfuries were a lot bigger than the females, Astra had very broad shoulders and a long face, longer ears and legs too. Luna was a lot smaller than him.

"It's so good to see you Luna, it's been so long." Astra smiled down to his sister and gave her face a nuzzle, "this place is so wonderful, it's astonishing." Astra said in complete awe as he looked around, the sunlight reflecting off the beautiful crystals around the place. While he was looking around, his eyes landed on Toothless who was stood there watching him. "Is this who I think it is?"

"Mhm, that's Toothless, my mate and the King of the Hidden World." Luna smiled proudly and watched her brother walk over to Toothless. Astra was a little bigger than him, though he displayed no intent to challenge his authority and instead smiled.

"I've heard a lot about you, Toothless, from my sister and those where I live. It's an honour to finally meet you." Astra dipped his head respectfully, which triggered the crowd of dragons to do the same.

Toothless chuckled. "Please, raise your head, you needn't do that." He said softly. "It's an honour to meet you too, Astra, we've been anxiously waiting for your arrival." Toothless said, gesturing for him, Luna and Thunder to follow.

The four of them walked through the kingdom, chatting together and decided to lay down and chill together on the big rock.

"So you two are expecting?" Astra said to them both, who nodded. "That's exciting! I'll finally have some nephews and nieces." Astra chuckled and smiled. "Any idea how long you have left?"

"Not much longer. We're hoping they'll be here very soon." Luna purred and rest her head down on her paws, tail curled to her stomach. "How has life been where you live, hmm? Everything okay? How are Mum and Dad?"

"Both are okay, so are everyone else. It's fantastic here where you live, it's beautiful." Astra said, marvelling at the beauty of the Hidden World.

"We're glad you like it, Astra." Toothless said, a smile on his face, "You are welcome to stay as long as you want and need. There's plenty of space here for you." Toothless offered which made Astra smile at him fondly. "As for now, Luna should be heading back to the den for a nap before seeing Stormfly later." Toothless nudged her gently, watching her stand up. "Go on love, get some more rest."

Luna nodded, obeying his orders and gave her husband and brother a nuzzle before she head back to the den for a nap. Astra, Toothless and Thunderhorn stayed together, deciding to spend more time getting to know Luna's brother.
