I had invited over my mom and sister for new years, but my mom couldn't make it. So, at eleven pm on the dot, Amélie showed up at my front door.
"Amés! Entrez, entrez! Bon réveillon!" I exclaimed. Amélie grinned
"Bon réveillon, Cam! Merci de m'avour invité!" Exclaimed Amélie, rushing in.
"Spencer! Hi! How are you doing?" She asked, sitting down next to him.
"I'm good, Amélie. Why are you acting so..." They trailed off
"Weird?" I supplied
"I mean, I was looking for a nicer term, but yeah. Weird." Ranboo nodded
"Ok, rude, but, I have news!" Exclaimed Amélie.
"What?" I exclaimed, sitting up straighter
"I have a girlfriend!" Smiled Amélie. I literally screamed, jumping to hug my sister.
"I'm so happy for you! Oh my god! Congratulations!" I grinned. I finally let go of her and sat in between her and Ranboo.
"What's her name?" I asked
"Colette. She lives a few minutes away, I met her at a coffee shop, she was the barista. She had a pansexual pin, so I decided to shoot my shot. We went on a few dates, and last night she asked me to be her girlfriend." Explained Amélie
"And you didn't tell me sooner? Chienne!" I exclaimed, slapping her arm playfully
"Hey, hey, I wanted to wait until things were official," Amélie laughed
"Well, what are you waiting for? Invite her over!" I exclaimed. Amélie laughed, until she saw I was serious.
"Are you sure?" Asked Amélie
"Yeah, go ahead? Does she speak any english?" I asked, gesturing to Ranboo.
"Yes, yes, a little bit. Enough to communicate. I'll text her." Nodded Amélie, pulling out her phone. And ten minutes later, at 11:15, there was a knock at the door. Amélie went to open it, and we heard muffled chatter before Amélie entered with another girl. Colette had flowing blonde hair down to her waist. Her eyes were a beautiful green. She wore a white dress with a green cardigan and white tights on. I will admit, she's absolutely gorgeous.
"Bonjour, vous devez être Cameron. Amés m'a tout dit sur toi, c'est tellement bon de te rencontrer enfin." Colette smiled lightly, showing a set of perfect white teeth
"Salut! Je suis si heureux de vous rencontrer, et je suis si heureux que ma sœur ait trouvé quelqu'un. C'est min petit ami, Spencer." I smiled
"Bonjour, Spencer! C'est un plaisir de vous rencontrer," Smiled Colette
"Hi, Colette. Glad you could make it," Smiled Ranboo. We all just sat around on the couch, talking and laughing, getting to know Colette, until soon enough, it was the countdown.
"Dix!"
I scooted closer to Ranboo, leaning my head on his shoulder
"Neuf!"
Ranboo put their hand on my knee and I put my hand on top, interlacing our fingers.
"Huit!"
I sighed contentedly and Ranboo kissed the top of my head.
"Sept!"
"Will you be my new years kiss?" Whispered Ranboo
"Six!"
I laughed softly.
"Cinq!"
"Of course," I whispered back
"Quatre!"
"Good, good," Nodded Ranboo
"Trois!"
I lifted my head
"Deux!"
His hand found it's way to my cheek.
"Un!"
They pulled me in and pressed our lips together. God, this person was enchanting. What will I do without them?
"Bonne année!"
Colette and Amélie's cheering broke us apart as we cheered along with them.
"Welcome to 2022, darling," I smiled softly
"Never thought my new years kiss would be the prettiest person on earth," Teased Ranboo quietly.
